Read on for everything you need to know, including Virgin Media account capabilities for mobile customers and Virgin Media Email and account number information. Selectra will have you sorted in no time!

Virgin Mobile Login

Here at Selectra, we understand that with the various accounts you probably have, and the agony of trying to be creative with your passwords every time you change them, the last thing you need is to be jumping through hoops while going through the Virgin mobile login UK process.

Thankfully the Virgin Mobile login process is quite simple. All you have to do is go to the Virgin Media homepage and follow the prompts. To login to your mobile account, you will need to have your email address (the email address that Virgin uses to contact you) and your password.

If you’ve forgotten your password, don’t worry as you can recover it in a few simple steps. Firstly, make sure you’re on the recovery page which should say “Forgotten your log-in email address and password?” at the top. If it doesn’t, then you may be on the wrong page so click here to go to the password and email recovery page.

To recover your email and password, you will need the following information ready:

  1. Your Virgin mobile number (don’t forget that your Virgin mobile number is 11 digits long and starts with 07)
  2. Your last name
  3. Your postcode

Once you’ve entered these details, click the “Send” button and keep following the prompts. See, Virgin Mobile login is easy!

I’m having issues logging in

If you’re having issues logging into your ‘My Virgin’ mobile account it would be because you’re trying to login with the wrong username or password.

Remember that passwords are case sensitive so whether letters are lower or uppercase is important. If you’re sure you’re entering your password correctly, check that caps lock is off on your computer as this can also be a culprit.

If caps lock or the wrong case weren’t the issues, you can recover your password as we mentioned before. You can also reset your password completely by following the prompts.

Virgin Media Email

When you registered for your Virgin mobile account, you would have needed to enter an email address. This email address is your Virgin Media email and is the one you would use for all correspondence between yourself and Virgin as well as the email address you would use to login into your Virgin mobile account.

If it’s been a while since you’ve dealt with the Virgin Mobile login process and you’ve forgotten the email which you used to register, you can easily recover your email by going to the email recovery page and following the prompts. To recover your email, you will need to enter your Virgin mobile number, your last name and your postcode.

Can I add additional numbers to my Virgin Mobile Account? Those who want to add an additional mobile phone number to their Virgin Mobile account can definitely do so (provided the phone number doesn't have it's own Virgin Mobile login set up yet). Just complete the Virgin Mobile login process as usual as usual then click on on add another number on the overview page. Once complete the additional number will show up in your account details.

My Virgin Mobile Login: Account Features

As with many accounts on offer from UK mobile networks, a Virgin Mobile account might be more useful than you think. Did you know you can do the following things using your account? You can:

  1. Check your account balance
  2. View all your payments
  3. See your latest mobile activity
  4. Manage account settings if you’re going overseas
  5. Update details such as your Direct Debit details
  6. Track recent orders

Not only can you do all those things, but you can also do them on-the-go with the Virgin Mobile account app. You can download this app from the Apple Store for iPhone users or the Google Play Store for Android users. The apps are free to download, easy to use and once you prompt the app to remember your details, you won’t have to enter them again. No more racking your brain every time you have to enter your password.

How do you find your Virgin Mobile account number?

It’s easy to get the two mixed up but your Virgin mobile account number is not the same as your Virgin mobile number. Your account number is a nine-digit number. Your account number should be on any of your bills or in the Welcome Pack you received when you signed up with Virgin Mobile.

If you didn’t receive a Welcome Pack or you no longer have it, check your emails as you should have received a confirmation letter when you ordered your services. If you don’t have either of these things, you can request a letter to be sent to your home with this information.

How do I check my Virgin Mobile account?

You can check your account by going to the Virgin mobile login page and entering the following combination of details:

  1. Your Virgin mobile number and PIN OR

  2. Your Virgin account number and password

Virgin Mobile login: Can you view your bills online?

Viewing your Virgin mobile bills online is one of the many things you can do using your Virgin mobile login. To view your bill online, sign into your account and go to the Billing option which you will find at the top of the page. From there, you will be able to open your most recent bill and even download it as a handy PDF for your records or for future reference.

Resetting your Virgin Mobile account password

If you want to or need to reset your password completely you will need to enter your email address and mobile number when prompted from the main Virgin mobile login page. Have your mobile phone handy as you will receive an 8-digit code you will need to enter in the required field online.

To make things easier, have your mobile handy and keep the main Virgin mobile login page open to be able to enter the code as soon as you get it. You don’t need to include the full stop that you’ll see at the very end of the code.

Once you’ve entered the code, you’ll be asked your security question. As soon as you reset your password, we recommend you write it down somewhere safe to access it easily for next time.

Virgin Mobile Login: Signing in abroad

If you’re travelling outside the EU, you won’t be able to use your phone like you do when you’re at home. This is because once you turn off roaming, which is something you should do to avoid costs, you won’t be able to receive texts or calls.

Important: It’s very important that you switch off data roaming when travelling outside the EU. If you don’t, you will come home to a nasty surprise in the form of a very large phone bill.

If you’re a Virgin mobile customer on a 4G plan, you will be able to use data roaming up to a certain limit. Virgin Mobile has partnerships with some roaming partners overseas which allow 4G customers to continue using 4G. Virgin is helpful in that they cap your roaming at £52.70 so you can’t spend any more, however, make sure they know you’re going overseas and that you want your data capped.

Never assume that your data will be capped unless you have spoken to Virgin specifically about your travel plans. Make sure you organise this with them.

Before you go, make sure you check your options with Virgin and read and understand any terms and conditions related to roaming overseas. You can start by checking roaming costs for different countries.

If you’re having issues logging into your Virgin mobile account or resetting your password while you’re overseas and you’re not a Virgin 4G customer, you might have to wait until you’re back in the UK to resolve any issues.

If you are a Virgin 4G customer and you had activated your mobile phone for use while overseas but you’re still not receiving any text messages, have a look at Virgins While You’re Away guide, to see what could be the issue.
