Getting Started


  1) Create an SSI account

  • Click on the box above to create your own SSI account. Keep in mind, the email you use during the sign-up process will become your username.
  • You will then receive an email from SSI with a default password to verify your account. HINT, If you do not see an email from SSI remember to check your spam and junk folders. 
  • Once you have finished setting up your SSI account you will gain unlimited access to the SSI Snorkeling, Basic Freediving, and Try Scuba programs for FREE!

 

  2) Download the MySSI app on your mobile device





 
  • Once you have created an SSI account we highly recommend downloading the free MySSI app to your mobile device.   
  • In the MySSI app, you will be able to view and download your online academics, view your digital certification cards, and access a free digital dive log which you will use during your Open Water Diver course to log and verify all of your dives. 

 

3) Complete a Medical History Form

  • Carefully read the first page of the form and answer yes or no in each category. 
  • If you answer yes to any of the questions on page 2 you must be medically cleared to dive by a doctor before completing any in-water activities.

 

 4) Schedule a Class

  • To sign up for an upcoming group open water course click on the button above.
  • From there, you will be able to browse through available dates, check out, and secure your spot in the class.
  • For private or semi-private training please call the dive center to set up your preferred class schedule. (Subject to instructor availability.)

 

 5) Complete your online learning academics

 
  • Once you have signed up and secured your spot in a class your Open Water Diver and Enriched Air Nitrox online academics will become available to you in your SSI account. These can be accessed online or on the MySSI app.
  • All of the open water academics should be completed before your first day of class. As you review your academics, remember to note any topics you would like to discuss further during your in-person training. 

 

 6) Begin your diving adventure!
