Signing up in Senior Match is easy. There is no complicated verification process that you have to go through, which is a good thing since their target market is the seniors who may only know the basic concepts of the internet.

Some of your profile information is filled out during the registration process. These include your age, gender, profile headline, about me section, and about my match/friend section. You also have to provide a profile picture right away as the site needs time to approve your photo before sharing it to the public. 

There are two different ways to create your Senior Match account. You can either sign up via Facebook or through a functioning email address. If you choose to link your Facebook profile, all your basic information are linked on your Senior Match profile. You can also grab some of your photos from Facebook and add them to your profile. One important thing to remember is, no matter which registration process you chose, you will still be asked to create a unique username for your profile.

Senior Match offers a variety of ways to contact members and to keep in touch with them. If you're looking for a way to show other members that you like them, you can send them winks. This feature is free for everyone, but it will only be activated once you have visited five full profiles. Do take note that everyone can only send a maximum number of 50 winks per day.

If you want to initiate contact with another member, you have to get a subscription. Gold members have full access to the site's contact features. They can respond to first date ideas, use the advanced search feature, edit personal notes on other profiles, see who's online, view compatible and reverse matches, and many more. 

If you are not planning to have a subscription any time soon, no worries as standard members can reply to messages they receive. They can also build a list of their favorite profiles, join forums, post blogs, and comment on other people's blogs. 

Senior Match has an instant messaging feature that is available for everyone, but standard members have a limited access to it.

Senior Match provides a pretty detailed information on the basic need-to-knows about a person. Profiles are categorized into five different sections: basic information, appearance, background, lifestyle, and others. The information that a profile page contains focuses more on the quantitative and descriptive aspects of a person's characteristics and appearance. Because of this, the site has more itemized multiple-choice profile fields than essay type ones. The only areas where you can personally write in your own words are on your profile headline, about me, and about my match/friend fields. You can also post questions to your matches on your profile by simply editing the "My questions to matches/friends" field. 

Profile pictures are viewable for everyone, but you can also upload a private photo album that can only be viewed by people you give access to. The site verifies all the photos you upload before they are made visible on the site. Any photo you upload should have a clear view of your face and must not be offensive to anyone. Photos that contain nudity or anything vulgar are denied. 

Senior Match strictly implements their rules for their member security and safety. All profiles are continually checked even after the email verification. Accounts that break the rules or are found suspicious are automatically kicked out of the site.
