Looking for your Fairstone financing account number? You can find it in the SMS text message you received from Fairstone when approved for financing, in the top, right-hand corner of your monthly statements, or by logging into your account online.

If you have an active account, you’ll receive monthly statements with payment details, important account information, a summary of your credit plan, and more. Fairstone will send you monthly statements by mail or electronically.

Want to receive monthly statements electronically? Register your financing account online. 

Once you’ve created an online account, you’ll automatically receive monthly electronic statements. Fairstone will send you an email when your monthly statement is available. Log in to Fairstone’s online account management to view your electronic statement.

Administration fees

Best Buy charges an administration fee per transaction for all residents in Canada, except Quebec. The administration fee depends on your plan and minimum purchase.

Membership fees

Residents of Quebec are charged an annual membership fee of $35, which comes with Geek Squad Remote Support for one year.

This fee is invoiced annually on the date you open your account. The Quebec membership fee will be charged annually, whether you make a purchase or not.

Payment due dates and plan expiration dates are listed on your printed or electronic monthly statements. You can make payments in any of the following ways:

1. Telephone or online banking (enter ‘Fairstone - Credit Cards’ as the payee)
2. At your financial institution
3. At a local Fairstone branch
4. Mailed cheques payable to Fairstone. Include the account number and the payment amount on the return portion of your mailed monthly statement addressed to:

Please note: Best Buy will not accept payments on Fairstone’s behalf.

There are no penalties for paying off your account balance if you pay the account balance in full by the end of the term. If you do not pay off your account balance within the terms of your promotional plan, you may be subject to accrued interest charges.

Your account will remain open even after you pay off your balance. You can use your available credit to finance more purchases at Best Buy.

Best Buy partners with Fairstone to offer residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) the following financing plans:

• 3 Month Financing (No Pay / Same As Cash)
• 6 Month Financing (No Pay / Same As Cash)
• 12 Month Financing (No Pay / Same As Cash)
• 18 Month Financing (No Pay / Same As Cash)

Our 3-, 6-, and 12-month financing plans apply to all products. However, our 18-month financing plans are only available for home theatre, major appliance, fitness equipment, e-transportation and musical instrument purchases.

There is no interest, financing charges, or penalties if you pay for your purchase in full by the end of your financing term.

To confirm which plan you are enrolled in, review your monthly statement.

No Pay / Same As Cash Plan

• Finance Charges will accrue on the purchase from the beginning of the promotional period, but no payments will be due during the promotional period.

• If you pay the purchase price in full by the expiration date of the promotional period, all the accrued finance charges will be waived, and no finance charges will be assessed on the purchase.
• If you do not pay the purchase price in full by the expiration date of the promotional period, all the accrued finance charges will be assessed to your account at the APR disclosed in the retail agreement & Disclosure statement.

The 24-month financing plan is only available in stores for home theatre and major appliance purchases $1,199.99 and up.

• If you do not pay the purchase price in full by the expiration date of the promotional period, all the accrued finance charges will be assessed to your account at the APR disclosed in the retail agreement & Disclosure statement.

Free Financing Plan (in-store only)

• The total amount financed is divided over the term of the plan and becomes your fixed minimum monthly payment.

• Finance charges will not accrue on the purchase during the promotional period if the required minimum payment is made each billing cycle during the promotional period when due.

• If the minimum payment is not paid when due, or if a balance remains after the promotional period expires, Finance charges will be assessed at the standard APR shown in the disclosure statement.
