We currently offer four types of football pools: Pick’em Pools, Survivor Pools, Maxout Pools, and Squares Pools. Whether you’re managing an office pool or playing with friends, we have a pool for every kind of football fan.

Learning how to play NFL Pick’em is easy. Each week, players pick one team from every matchup and the player with the most correct picks wins the week. In addition to weekly winners, you can also track picks across the full NFL season and crown a season-long winner in your football Pick’em pool.

On Gridiron Games, you can fully customize your settings to match your favorite NFL Pick’em rules. Play with point spreads, confidence points, flexible pick deadlines, and custom tiebreakers to make the game more strategic and fun.

Learning how to play NFL Survivor is easy, but mastering it is the challenge. Each week, players pick one team they think will win, but the twist is you can only pick a team once per season. If your team wins, you survive. If they lose, you’re eliminated.

Most football Survivor pools end when a single player remains, but on Gridiron Games you can customize your NFL Survivor pool rules to play with double elimination or mulligans to keep things competitive all season long.

Learning how to play NFL Squares with friends, family, or coworkers is quick and easy. A standard football Squares pool uses a 10×10 grid, where each player picks one or more squares. Once all squares are filled, numbers 0–9 are randomly assigned to the rows and columns. At the end of each quarter, the last digit of each team’s score determines the winning square.

Yes! At Gridiron Games, we offer free printable NFL Pick’em weekly pick sheets and Super Bowl Squares templates you can download anytime. No account required – just download, print, and play.

Registering an account is free, and we use a pay-as-you-go pricing model that allows commissioners to pay for only what their pool needs. To determine the cost of hosting your pool on the site, check out our pricing calculator. The hosting fee covers the entire season.

Once the commissioner has purchased entries or grids within the pool, other players can participate in the pool for free without needing to pay any additional fees. Create your football pool for free now.

For NFL Pick’em, Survivor, and Maxout pools you only need to pay for an entry once and that entry will allow a player to submit picks across all weeks of the season. As an example, if you have 10 players who would like to submit picks across all 18 weeks of the season you only need to purchase 10 entries.

For NFL Squares pools, each grid is tied to a specific game so you’ll need to purchase a grid for each game that you want to fill out squares for. The way our pricing is structured though, once you pay for 10 grids all grids after that are entirely free.

Players can join your pool at any time from the Join Existing Pool page by entering your Pool ID and Password. If you want to invite players directly, you can send them your unique invite link or email them from the Members page of your pool.

We don’t currently offer a downloadable app, but our responsive web app is optimized for mobile devices – making it easy to access your pools and submit picks from your phone or tablet.
