On deadline day itself, young goalkeeper Nathan Bishop arrived from Southend United, also on a permanent basis.

Finally, late on Friday night, 31 January, the club confirmed the loan signing of former Watford striker Odion Ighalo, from Chinese club Shanghai Greenland Shenhua, until the end of the 2019/20 season.
