Ohio Digital Library

The ohio digital library

The Ohio Digital Library allows patrons to access digitized materials through their phones, tablets, or personal computers. All you need is your library card number and password/PIN. You can login through the website or download the Libby app on any device that uses applications.

Commonly asked questions:

What happened to the Overdrive app?

The Overdrive app has been phased out and will not work to access The Ohio Digital Library any longer.

If you need help transitioning to Libby, ask for Renee when you call or come into the library.

Ohio Digital Library has put together information on how to transition to Libby here.

If the Overdrive app doesn't work anymore, how do I access my reading history?

Ohio Digital Library has instructions on how to export your history here.

Why use ODL?

Using the Ohio Digital Library means that there is no travel or returning items to the physical library. When an item is borrowed from the ODL, it will disappear after the loan period has ended. As long as a patron is using their Delta Public Library card to borrow items from ODL, the library will get credit for patron use.

What library materials can you borrow from the ODL?

Books, audiobooks, graphic novels, and magazines. There is no access to music, movies, or television.

Where do I get a password/PIN?

You must set it up at the library. It will be attached to your patron account.

Why can't I login?

  1. Make sure you type your library card number and password exactly as it's shown on your account.
  2. A patron's account is frozen and will not be able to borrow digital items or login if there is a fine on the account.
  3. The library requires each patron to renew their information annually and it will freeze the account until the info is verified or corrected. (calling the library can accomplish this)

What if I forget my library card number or password?

You can call the library to find out your library card number. We cannot see your password, so you will need to set up a new one.

How do I become a patron of the Delta Public Library?

You must visit the library with a photo ID. If the ID does not have your current address on it, you also need to provide a recent piece of mail with your current address printed on it. Becoming a patron of the Delta Public Library is free.

What devices can I use to access the Ohio Digital Library?

Devices that have access to an internet browser or have the capability to run applications. The newer the device the better.

Do I need internet access/WiFi to use this service?

Yes. You need internet access to download your borrowed materials. Once they are downloaded you do not need internet access to use them.

Is there someone at the library that can help me?

A patron can call the library and make an appointment for help or walk in and see if there is anyone available.
