Paycom is a wonderful all-inclusive HRIS with every option you can imagine, including ATS, LMS, Time and Attendance, Compliance, Payroll, Reporting, etc. The payroll system was the initial draw to Paycom, as well as the robust reporting; however, our sales representatives sealed the deal. Paycom went well above and beyond to create two customized data converters, one of which made it possible for us to incorporate our unique tip pool structure within the payroll system. We have also had very good experience with all of our customer support representatives, with plenty of individual attention. Implementation was smooth and much less complex than any other I have experienced in my years in Human Resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside we have experienced with Paycom has been occasional time lags during imports or creating reports. However, nothing significant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paycom is one of the best things to happen to our Company. With helpful and professional support specialists and incredibly vast software capabilities, Paycom is sure to help you with your everyday tasks as well as stay compliant and organized with ease as your Company grows. There are still many things I have yet to explore but we are extremely happy with our first year using Paycom. The implementation team was fantastic, and we had little issues with training employees on how to use the software for time and attendance each day to clock in and out etc. We love Paycom!!! Probably the only thing I could think to mention is how many features and how customizable it is... This is AMAZING, don't get me wrong, I love that part... I just haven't had time to do everything I want in the system because of just how many possibilities there are!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paycom has always done monthly enhancements to the software, bringing new features to make my life easier. What I especially like about these enhancements is that the training team does webinars to explain those feature updates to Paycom users. These webinars are delivered by subject format so the user can decide if that topic is something that applies to their company and watch/rewatch and ask questions. Any time I've had questions about a reviewed topic, I always receive a response within 24 hours of the viewed content. PLUS -- Elena Grace Dyal (our CRR) is the G.O.A.T! And we tell her that every time we talk to her! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some things I wish I had known when we brought PAF's, Performance Reviews and PDF's on board several months ago. Unfortunately, we were not aware that Position Management had to be set up and operational before setting forward on the Performance Reviews and we've found ourselves in a bit of a bind as we backtrack and set up Position Management for all 4 of our companies. We had no idea that the absence of position management/position seats would disable our ability to make promotions, change job titles, and affect how managers receive notifications for time-off requests/punch changes. Chris Lasek is currently helping us through it all and he's been super responsive to us! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The system is very intuitive and easy to use. Once you know where to find everything, it is so easy. Payroll has been so easy since we switched and you can easily see the system 'talks' within itself between all the different modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not being able to edit timecards as an all access user. I understand the reasoning behind it, but being a school we have some retired teachers that substitute teach for us and are not tech savvy so it can create extra steps for me during payroll to ensure their time is correct. Timekeeping, payroll, and easy to navigate, has a wide range of features, and the best part reports. The implementation process was a breeze, with fabulous customer support. I use the system all day long so I have to have it working efficiently and with the support I get from the Paycom team I have had not issues. The integration is what I thought would be the most difficult, but the Paycom team used our old system to intergrade either walking up through it or by remoting in. It has so much to offer, I am not able to say anything bad about it. It does take some time getting use to everything it has to offer and the different ways you can navigate but end up right where you need to be within the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
i enjoy the flag for discrepancies. It helps you address items quickly. I appreciate uploading documents that employees need to sign and that they are able to go back and review them (ie. offer letter, employee handbook, etc.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We need harassment training and that was not offered to us in the beginning. So it has now put us in a place to have to purchase a la carte or look outside. Benefits is another area I thought Paycom could help with and we have not been successful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Paycom includes functions for both HR and payroll/accounting. HR does not handle payroll/accounting at our organization so it is helpful to be able to have everything in one system. I also enjoy that things are connected within the system so making a change in one area can automatically update other areas/information. We use Paycom for our Open Enrollment and it makes the entire process so easy! Lastly, we typically get good customer service anytime we have an issue or question. Paycom is the only HRIS I have used so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I found the Applicant Tracking module to be a little clunky and not overly user-friendly. Also, some of the updates that are made within the software don't always make sense and can lead to frustration and more work. There is also high turnover among the dedicated PSD Specialists. I'm sure this is normal for this type of role across the industry, but it does become frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Paycom has been instrumental in helping our organization navigate the complex landscape of HR compliance with confidence. Their commitment to continuous innovation and the integrity of their platform has earned our trust in managing our most sensitive and mission-critical employee data. The customer support we have gotten from them is by far better than any other software company we use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been using Paycom's platform for years and haven't experienced any issues or received any complaints from our employees, so there really isn't anything we dislike about the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the customer service at Paycom. I had my own individuals (that stayed the same!) throughout the entire setup process and for several months after. They know me, our company, and they always answer the phone and respond to emails quickly. No one does that now days! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the UI/UX was cleaner and easier to navigate. It is a really complicated system, (I know that is because it can do so much) but I like the simpler visuals and navigation like some of the others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a worry-free payroll process for out-of-state employees, as the system is designed to comply with all required state rules. The updated built-in rules ensure that your employees are paid fairly and within the legal requirements of each state where your business operates. The reporting options are fantastic, and it is very easy to customize a report that fits your business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I would like to see updated is the Time Off Calendar. Many people in upper management would like to have an option where they can view all hourly employees who are approved to be off, similar to a shared calendar, but without the ability to modify it. Currently, only the manager can view the hours of people under their supervision, but no other manager outside that group can see those hours. It would help our sales personnel and management to have a better view of the workforce available when big deadlines or projects are approaching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
