Date Extensions Just Became Easier for Physical Medicine Providers!

Dear RadMD users,

We are pleased to announce that effective February 20, 2020, National Imaging Associates, Inc. (NIA) implemented a change to allow providers to obtain a one-time date extension to existing Physical Medicine authorizations through RadMD.  This change is one of many future upgrades underway to our RadMD portal as we make continued improvements based on feedback we received from our provider community. With this new change, providers will no longer be required to contact our call center to obtain date extensions.  

To obtain a date extension, simply log into www.radmd.com, search for the member you are requesting the date extension for and follow the prompts.  You will be able to immediately see the update to the validity period.  In the case where an extension is not allowed, you will be prompted to the appropriate next step.

We are hopeful that this change and others that we will be implementing in the upcoming months, will enhance your overall experience with our portal by increasing your usage, and decreasing the overall timeframe in completing a Physical Medicine authorization.  If you have any additional questions please contact our Provider Service Line at 1-800-327-0641.
