Updating your Anki OVERDRIVE account

Creating an account

When setting up OVERDRIVE / OVERDRIVE: Fast & Furious Edition, the app will guide you through the process of setting up your first account. Additional accounts can be created by:

1. Selecting the Burger Menu in the top left corner of your app home screen
2. Clicking on "Settings"
3. Selecting "Profile"
4. Choosing "Sign Up / Log In" to create a "New Driver" 

Email address requirements

• Min. 5 characters
• Max. 100 characters
• Must contain an @ symbol
• Must follow the format x@x.x where x is one or more ASCII characters (characters 0-127) 

Username requirements

• Max. 100 characters

How to change your Driver Name?

While it is not possible to change an existing Driver Name via the app you can create a new Online Player account with the preferred name. The Profile menu (in the Settings section) allows you to toggle between the different Online Player accounts that are linked to the same email address. 

How to reset your password? 

If you can't remember your password or get a "wrong password" message you can follow these steps: 

1. Select the Burger Menu in the top left corner of your app home screen
2. Click on "Settings"
3. Select "Profile" 
4. Click on the "Sign Up / Log In" button (log out if you are currently logged into the Online Player Account) 
5. Click on "Forgot Driver Name or Password?" and enter the email address that is linked to your account to receive a password-reset email. 
6. Follow the steps as outlined in the email to reset your password 

Password requirements

• Min. 8 characters
• Max. 32 characters
• Must be composed of ASCII characters (characters 0-127)
• Must have an upper case letter
• Must have a lower case letter
• Must have a number
• UTF-8 characters not accepted
• Emojis not accepted

How to change your email address? 

1. Select the Burger Menu in the top left corner of your app home screen
2. Click on "Settings"
3. Select "Profile" and log in with your Driver Name and Password
4. Click on the cog icon next to "Log out"  
5. Verify your password (see above section if you have forgotten your password) 
6. Select "Change Email Address" 

How to delete your Online Driver Account? 

If you wish to delete your Online Driver account please contact Customer Care and provide your Driver Name as well as the matching email address so that our team can delete your account.
