British EuroMillions ticket holder claims £57.8m prize one month after lucky numbers came up
A BRIT has claimed a huge £57.8million EuroMillions jackpot one month after the winning numbers came up.
Camelot confirmed this afternoon a ticket-holder from South Ayrshire, Scotland, won and has finally claimed their big prize.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “It is fantastic news that a lucky ticket-holder has now claimed this enormous prize.
"We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder through the process.
“During the current crisis, we’d like to encourage as many players as possible to check their tickets and play online or on the National Lottery app, and to only buy their tickets in retail or claim a retail prize if they are already in-store to do an essential shop.”

Once the claim has been verified, the lucky winner will decide if they want to come forward.
It comes as the UK is in lockdown as the coronavirus pandemic continues - with the winner of this jackpot bound to be planning how to spend the cash once restrictions are lifted.
At the end of last year we told how a record-breaking EuroMillions jackpot totalling £170m was paid out to an anonymous winner.
The lucky punter matched all five main numbers - 07, 10, 15, 44, 49 - as well as the two lucky stars - 03, 12 - to become the country's biggest ever winner.
