ask.libreoffice.org: Text eaten up at the end of post - today's bug? [fixed]

I see plenty of posts in this forum to get eaten up text at the end of post. So it is very hard to read text. See:
How to get Language Module for Spell Check -Debian-Linux This is not a single post problem, but forum wide problem.

This problem appeared today, so something has to be changed on forum. Admins, can you look at this please.

Asked for help here

http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Urgent-AskLibO-contents-were-truncated-tt4075819.html

I hope this is just a visualization issue…

that’s why i can’t understand this question: Is there a way to create Indexes that will actually speed up record searches in LibreOffice Base?

Apparently caused by an upgrade to new Askbot version 0.7.49 …

@L-user – After editing the answer and the question the complete text is now displayed
(with the (more) button).

OP: @L-user

A temporary workaround

for restoring the text / the view:

(1) click on Edit to open the answer/question/comment

(2) click on Save edit

The (more) button seems to be a new “feature” in Askbot version 0.7.49.

EDIT 2013-10-01

Apparently the bug is fixed now!

@Manfred: Do all users have access to the Edit button? Or only users with Karma bigger than some value? I hope this is fixed in general ASAP (going around editing 5000+ questions and associated answers doesn’t make any sense…)

@Pedro1 – It’s intended as a workaround for contemporary issues only.

I’m hoping that Evgeny can fix the bug today/tonight …

All users should have access to their own questions/answers/comments.

Users with ≥ 200 “karma points” should have access to all questions/answers/comments.

“The (more) button seems to be a new feature in Askbot version 0.7.49.” IMO this is not only unnecessary but actually makes the site less friendly (due to more clicking). Web pages naturally scroll vertically, so the length of a page is little cause for concern.

I agree with @oweng. It is easier/more intuitive to scroll down than to have to click on a single word. If you are reading a post with a few comments then it becomes really annoying. Can we have a vote or is this a TDF decision?
