I’m a very disappointed long time customer of Green Chef
I’m a long time customer of Green Chef, who has previously mostly been happy. Order did not arrive last Friday and when I called at the end of the day to inquire I was told it was still out for delivery and was just delayed. Instead, a bag of wet rotten garbage arrived the following Thursday. The food was jumbled in a garbage bag and put in a new box, which is now my smelly problem to deal with. Really?? Who delivers a leaking box of something that smelled liked the contents died? Customer service offered a refund (which was actually just a credit on the next delivery) after 3 calls, + $18.00 for the inconvenience and extra garbage bag fee. This is the 2nd occurrence of this type. We purchase this meal delivery service for convenience, to ensure healthy portions and to eliminate food waste. Big fail across the board and customer service was “meh”. A full refund is a good starting place (and not a credit on future boxes), but $18.00 is NOT the way to retain me as a customer. I was planning on a Green Chef meal last Friday (nope), planning on doing something other than meal planning and grocery shopping on Saturday (nope), not delighted to take more time to deal with the rotten leaking food on my porch and multiple calls to customer service. I would be embarrassed to recommend Green Chef to a friend at this point.
