Alpine Bank

I have had accounts with alpine for nearly a decade and 3 years ago I was looking for overdraft protection on my checking account. I added a line of credit to my checking account at the advice of one of the horizon drive members of staff, to help with overdraft protection. At the time no additional accounts appeared on my online banking and assumed it was just linked to my checking account to help cover overdrafts. Now 3 years later I discovered I have an open line of credit that is actually its own account. I have not had access to the account for over 3 years while they have gleefully collected interest on an account I can neither pay off nor view the balance of. They take the interest payments directly from my checking account once again making it seem as though they are linked. When I contacted them they said they would make the account viewable but that it was my fault that I should have addressed the unknown issue sooner...

I love Alpine Bank. Been a checking account customer for many years now. Had a few incidences here and there but they were always diligent in fixing the problem.

Own a restaurant covid..then burned down! Kept up with payments. Made a phone call going to be a week late with two payments left. Used my disability check to make payment while there system was down for upgrades on the same day there letter said they needed a payment. Did not get credit so 10 years later two payments left. They do not care! There balance is wrong buy about 400$ so yes there brain dead!

There online system is outadated. It’s inconvenient that you can’t have the same online account for checking and credit. Their customer service was condescending (Specifically Stephanie) when there we were issues. My credit info had fraud Activity that they did not cover. I don’t recommend them due to too many inconvenient experiences with them

Alpine Bank Offers great interest rates and Credit Rewards at a cost.
Their Online Portal is a mess. IP logging fails every time and each login requires personal information. Their website is the quality of a college programming course in 2003. customer support is nice, although fraud detection is WAY TOO INVASIVE and turns the card into a gamble each time you use it.
I am not saying that I wouldn't do business with alpine bank based on these merits, but I am saying that if I wasn't stuck with a credit line from them, I would be taking my business elsewhere.

This bank makes fraudulent promises to disabled persons & then steals their social security checks. Best to keep an attorney on retainer if you insist on using their "services". Cozy Radio uses their commercials, further facilitating the fraud.

There online log on is very bad I have to go through customer service almost every time to get logged in not very helpful after hours. And now I have to write a 200 word review to tell wallet hub is just as useless. Oh did I get 200 words by now. Yep useless !

The customer service is non-existent at the main branch in Glenwood Springs, just terrible. Alpine Bank has always been great. Their staff at all locations are very nice. Most staff knows customers by name in some of the locations. Would recommend to anyone. I have been banking with Alpine for years and don't plan on changing banks. I couldn't ask for better customer service, I have never had a problem with my account in the years I have banked with them. They have the small town feeling when you go into the bank, my kids love that they get suckers when we visit the bank as well.

My son recently moved to Colorado in order to prepare for his first year at college and as such I wanted to find him a bank with local branches but would also have the convenience of my being able to deposit educational expense money directly on a prepaid card. After searching WalletHub, I located Alpine and decided to visit their website. I was impressed by how well the site was set up so I decided to contact their customer service line in order to find out if they had all of the features I needed. I spoke with a representative named Cathleen who could not have been more helpful. She advised me of which type of account to get for what I needed, which turned out to be the Triple-E account since he won't be writing many checks, and walked me through the entire application process online. I was extremely impressed by how easy it was to get all of this set up as well as how nicely and professionally I was treated when I contacted customer service.
