Campusano went 1-for-2 with a three-run homer in Sunday's 8-6 loss to the Phillies.

Campusano entered the game as a pinch-hitter for Kyle Higashioka in the seventh and instantly made an impact, swatting a three-run shot to left center off Taijuan Walker to bring the Padres within one run. It was only his second home run of the year, but the 25-year-old is enjoying a productive first month of the season, slashing .290/.320/.430 with nine extra-base hits, 17 RBI, 13 runs and a 4:11 BB:K in 97 plate appearances as the Padres primary backstop.

Realmuto went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI in Sunday's 8-6 win over the Padres.

Realmuto won the battle against Michael King in the sixth, sending a 421-foot blast to left center to put the Phillies up 6-3. He gave them some additional insurance with an RBI single in the seventh as well. Realmuto's now hit safely in six of his last seven games and has five RBI over his last three. For the year, he's slashing .245/.292/.429 with five homers, 14 RBI, 14 runs and a 6:28 BB:K in 106 plate appearances.

Stallings went 1-for-2 with an RBI on Sunday against the Astros.

Stallings has served in a true backup role to Elias Diaz, as Sunday marked only his ninth start of the season. Stallings managed his second RBI of the season Sunday with a sacrifice fly in the second inning. He also has at least one hit in each of his last four starts.

Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Rockies.

The Astros scored 20 runs combined across their two-game series against Colorado, and Diaz drove in three of those runs. His damage Sunday came late in the contest, as he drove in a pair of runners with a double in the eighth inning. Diaz now has at least one hit in five of his last seven games, and he's collected four extra-base hits (no home runs) in that span.

Rutschman went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Athletics.

Rutschman homered for the second game in a row, doubling his total for the year to four. The catcher also struck out three times Sunday and is now striking out at a 16.0 percent rate. He's added 17 RBI, 17 runs scored and a .318/.361/.455 slash line through 119 plate appearances. Rutschman has maintained more playing time than the average catcher this year, as manager Brandon Hyde has often put him at designated hitter when he's not behind the dish.

Kirk went 3-for-3 with a solo home run during Sunday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Kirk notched his first homer of the campaign, tagging Dodgers opener Michael Grove for a long ball in the second frame. The outburst was much needed for the slumping Kirk, who entered the contest 5-for-35 (.143) in his last 12 appearances and hitless during his last four games.

Lowe went 2-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Lowe, batting third in the order for the fifth straight game, singled in the first inning and scored on Adolis Garcia's two-run home run. The first baseman has reached base safely in all eight games since returning from a season-opening stint on the injured list due to an oblique injury. Lowe is batting .310/.375/.448 with two extra-base hits, one RBI and five runs scored.

Cronenworth went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and a double in Sunday's loss to the Phillies.

Cronenworth doubled his first time up and then would briefly put the Padres in front with a two-run shot to right off Taijuan Walker in the third. The 30-year-old has found his bat lately with seven hits and five RBI over his last five games. For the year, he's now slashing .264/.344/.453 with four homers, 19 RBI, 14 runs and a 12:19 BB:K in 122 plate appearances.

Walker went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 3-2 in over the Mariners.

Walker got things started with a solo blast off Logan Gilbert in the second inning to knot the game up at 1-1. He later doubled in the fourth but was left stranded. The 33-year-old slugger has notched at least a hit in five straight games while homering twice and racking up five RBI over that span. For the year, he's slashing .271/.383/.439 with five homers, 18 RBI, 21 runs and an 18:31 BB:K in 128 plate appearances.

Abreu is likely to lose playing time due to the promotion of Joey Loperfido, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Abreu has had a rocky tenure with the Astros overall, and he's hitting a dreadful .099 across 77 plate appearances with a .269 OPS this season. The Astros have publicly remained hopeful that he can turn things around, though he's started only three of the team's last six games. Abreu's share of playing time is likely to only dip further, but his spot on the roster is most likely safe as he is signed through 2025 and is owed roughly $39 million for the remainder of the deal.

Freeman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Sunday's 3-1 loss to Toronto.

Freeman homered for the second time all season -- and hit his first long ball since March 28 -- while extending his hit streak to eight games. He's logged at least one RBI in seven of those contests (11 total) with a .444 batting average.

Bauers went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 15-5 loss to the Yankees.

Bauers look Marcus Stroman deep for a game-tying three-run shot in the bottom of the fifth inning, knotting the game up at 4-4. He also added a double and a single in the contest, securing his second straight multi-hit performance in a game he started. Bauers is now batting .214 with two home runs, 12 RBI, eight runs scored and a stolen base over 56 at-bats in 18 games this season.

Stott went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI, three runs and a steal in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Stott homered in each of his first two at-bats. He opened up the scoring with a two-run blast in the second and mirrored that with another two-run shot in the fourth. He later reached on a fielder's choice in the eighth and swiped second before eventually coming around to score. Stott has found his bat as of late, tallying eight RBI over his last five games, though he still seems to be stuck on the strong side of a platoon despite his career batting stats being better against lefties. For the year, the 26-year-old is now slashing .226/.295/.369 with three homers, 14 RBI, 12 runs, four steals and an 8:17 BB:K in 95 plate appearances.

Estrada went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.

Estrada opened the scoring when he took Jared Jones deep in the third inning. Estrada has gone 2-for-7 over two games since he recovered from a minor hamstring issue. The second baseman is slashing a modest .235/.255/.422 with four homers, 13 RBI, 12 runs scored and no stolen bases through 28 contests. His power is in line with previous years, but Estrada logged 20-plus steals in both 2022 and 2023, so it's a little unusual to see him getting less involved on the basepaths.

Gimenez went 2-for-4 with a walk, one RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to Atlanta.

Gimenez went 2-for-18 with three RBI and a steal over five games from April 19-25, a cold spell that resulted in him getting a day off Friday. He's bounced back with a pair of multi-hit efforts over the weekend. The second baseman is up to four steals on five attempts this season. He's slashing .275/.345/.343 with 15 RBI, 15 runs scored, five doubles and a triple through 117 plate appearances, but he's yet to hit a home run in 2024.

Marte went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 3-2 win over Seattle.

Marte's two-out double in the eighth plated Kevin Newman with the winning run. It was the second consecutive game that Marte has hit out of the three-hole, as manager Torey Lovullo made recent changes to accommodate for Corbin Carroll's slow start. Marte had been the team's primary leadoff hitter.

Altuve went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, three runs scored, a walk and a steal in Sunday's win over Colorado.

Altuve singled and scored after swiping third base in the first inning. He then drilled a solo shot in the third. The star infielder had been in a short slump recently, going 6-for-30 (.200) with one extra-base hit over his previous seven games. Still, he's sporting a strong .342/.414/.596 slash line with four steals, 15 extra-base hits and 21 runs scored through 28 games.

Julien is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

The lefty-hitting Julien will retreat to the bench with southpaw Reid Detmers on the hill for the Angels. Kyle Farmer will step in for Julien at second base.

Rojas went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Rojas slid into the leadoff spot after J.P. Crawford (oblique) was placed on the IL before the weekend. He responded with home runs Friday and Sunday with Sunday's being his very first at-bat of the game off Brandon Pfaadt. Since April 15, Rojas has at least a hit in 10 of 11 games and is off to a productive first month of the season. He's slashing .297/.366/.516 with three homers, six RBI, 10 runs and a 7:12 BB:K in 71 plate appearances.

Davis (thigh/groin) started at designated hitter for Triple-A Las Vegas against Sacramento on Sunday and went 1-for-4 with a double and a run.

Davis was given the green light to suit up Sunday after partaking in baseball activities with the Aviators on Saturday. Having apparently gotten through Sunday's contest without any issues, Davis is now slated to rejoin Oakland on Monday, when a decision on whether he'll need more rehab games or if he's ready for activation will be made.

Caminero went 4-for-5 with a double, two home runs and three RBI on Sunday with Triple-A Durham.

Caminero was sidelined for two weeks early in the season with a quad injury. In nine games since, he's gone 11-for-36 with seven extra-base hits while striking out at a 23.1 percent clip. The Rays have had a mediocre lineup, and Jonathan Aranda (finger) is nearing a return, but Caminero should still make his way to Tampa Bay at some point in the current campaign.

Bregman went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Sunday against Colorado.

Bregman has an ugly .216 average in 108 plate appearances to start the season. He's shown small signs of turning things around at the plate, as he has at least one hit in three of his last four games. More concerning is that Bregman has just a .052 ISO to go along with two barrels in 81 batted-ball events.

Urias went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-6 loss to the Athletics.

Urias started two of the Orioles' three games against the A's, as playing time has opened up in the infield following Jackson Holliday's demotion to Triple-A Norfolk. The homer was Urias' first of the season, though that's in part due to his limited usage for much of the season. The utility infielder is slashing .186/.205/.279 with three RBI, five runs scored and a double over 44 plate appearances on the year. Urias, Jordan Westburg (illness) and Jorge Mateo will likely combine to cover second base and third base moving forward.

Vientos went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 4-2 extra-inning win over the Cardinals.

Vientos entered the contest as a pinch hitter in the bottom of the ninth, notching a single. He came back to the plate in the 11th, when he plated Harrison Bader on a game-winning two-run home run. While Vientos was called up to fill the hole left by Starling Marte's (personal) absence, he could earn a permanent big-league spot if he continues to rake.

Grissom (hamstring) went 4-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and a run scored for Triple-A Worcester on Sunday.

The Red Sox are expected to wrap up Grissom's rehab assignment and activate him for Tuesday's series opener against the Giants. While with the WooSox, Grissom went 10-for-30 with five walks, two steals and three runs scored. Grissom is expected to start at second base, while newcomer Garrett Cooper could slide in at first to create a new right side of the infield.

Crawford (oblique) was able to field some grounders and do light jogging in the outfield before Sunday's series finale against the Diamondbacks, MLB.com reports.

The activity is significant, considering Crawford was just diagnosed with a Grade 1 oblique strain Wednesday. Crawford is still expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks, but he noted he was feeling much better Sunday than a few days prior, when he'd found it painful to even cough or make general movements.

Cruz went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Sunday against the Giants.

Cruz was held out of Saturday's lineup after tweaking his ankle in the series opener against the Giants. He notably moved up the order to hit third in his return Sunday and seemed to put the injury issue behind him as he swiped his third base of the season. Cruz is off to a slow start to the campaign, but he's shown some improvement of late by going 8-for-22 with a 25 percent strikeout rate across his last seven games.

Fitzgerald went 3-for-3 with a double and one run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.

Fitzgerald has recorded three multi-hit games this season, and he's batting .313 with a .915 OPS over 34 plate appearances. He remains in a utility role, but he's done well when in the lineup, posting one home run, three RBI, six runs scored, two doubles, a triple and four stolen bases. Fitzgerald's lack of an everyday role limits his fantasy viability, and his best chance at playing time is at shortstop, though Nick Ahmed has held his own there by batting .262 over 27 contests. Fitzgerald has also played in center field occasionally versus southpaws when Jung Hoo Lee is out of the lineup, though that has not been a strict platoon situation.

Pena went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and two runs scored Sunday against the Rockies.

Pena had a productive weekend series in Mexico City, racking up a total of four runs scored in a pair of games. He also chipped in his third home run of the campaign Sunday, his first long ball since April 3. Pena has remained a subpar power contributor, though he also has four stolen bases and is hitting .321 across 115 plate appearances early this season.

Lindor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and two stolen bases during Sunday's 4-2 win over the Cardinals.

Lindor notched his fourth homer over the last nine games, tagging Lance Lynn for a solo shot in the sixth frame. The shortstop also notched the 14th multi-steal game of his career, marking his second and third pilfers of the campaign. During his last nine appearances, Lindor is batting .306 with nine RBI and six runs scored.

Duran went 1-for-4 with a walk, triple and two RBI in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Duran tripled in two runs in the sixth inning then drew a leadoff walk in the bottom of the ninth before scoring the winning run on Tyler O'Neill's walk-off single. Duran has started all 29 games thus far, including 27 of them as the team's leadoff batter. He's second on the Red Sox with 17 runs and leads the club in triples with three. Because of Ceddanne Rafaela moving from center field to shortstop, Duran is locked in as Boston's starting center fielder.

O'Neill went 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI in Sunday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

O'Neill delivered a walk-off single after the Red Sox squandered a 4-0 lead. His blooper to left against an infield playing in plated Jarren Duran with the winning run. For O'Neil, who was 0-for-3 at the time, the single extended hit streak to seven games, during which he's 11-for-27 with three home runs, five RBI and six runs scored.

Tauchman went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Red Sox.

Tauchman instilled some life in the Cubs, as he was able to tie the game up with a three-run homer in the eighth off of Chris Martin. The 33-year-old has been the Cubs' best hitter over the last week and a half, slashing .400/.500/.743 with three homers, nine RBI, eight runs and a 6:8 BB:K over 11 games since April 17. The Cubs will have a crowded outfield once they get the likes of Cody Bellinger (ribs) and Seiya Suzuki (oblique) back from their respective injuries, but for now Tauchman is seizing his opportunity as an everyday player.

Clase is expected to be optioned back to Triple-A Tacoma before Monday's series opener against Atlanta, MLB.com reports.

The speedy rookie reached safely in his first four games after being called up April 15, but Clase had seen his playing time evaporate over the last three games. He'll head back to Tacoma to continue getting regular at-bats, and veteran utility man Sam Haggerty is expected to be promoted to the big-league club in a corresponding move.

Haggerty is expected to be called up from Triple-A Tacoma ahead of Monday's series opener against Atlanta, MLB.com reports.

The move isn't yet official, but during his time at Tacoma, Haggerty has worked off any rust he may have accumulated during a multi-week absence due to a personal medical issue. The veteran utility man has generated a .344 average and .417 on-base percentage during his 16 games with the Rainiers, and as he's done in past seasons, he's expected to fill a super-utility role with the big club. In a corresponding move, rookie Jonatan Clase is expected to be optioned back to the Rainiers after a two-week stay with the Mariners.

Jones was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Rockies in the seventh inning due to back stiffness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Jones has battled back stiffness since Tuesday and was forced to miss two games with the issue. After managing to play the entirety of Saturday's contest, Jones was back in the starting lineup Sunday but was forced to exit early after going 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. The team has not yet decided whether Jones will require a stint on the injured list, but manager Bud Black did say that he is concerned that the issue is recurring.

King (2-3) took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out six over 5.1 innings.

King struggled to keep the ball in the yard in this one. Bryson Stott got to him for a pair of two-run homers and J.T. Realmuto swatted one out against him in the sixth. His lack of command continues to haunt him, as he's now allowed 10 home runs in seven starts and has walked multiple batters in all but one appearance. The 29-year-old sports a 5.00 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 40:21 K:BB in 36 innings and will line up for a road start against the Diamondbacks his next time out.

Walker (1-0) picked up the win over the Padres on Sunday, allowing six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four over 6.1 innings.

The Padres piled on all six of their runs in just two innings. They got to Walker for three runs in the third with Fernando Tatis doubling home Jurickson Profar before coming home on a two-run blast from Jake Cronenworth. Walker was able to cruise into the seventh where he ran into more trouble, as the Padres added three more runs on a home run from Luis Campusano to make it a 7-6 game. His day would end there and he was able to squeak by with an ugly win. He'll look for some better results next time and is projected to take the mound next weekend against the Giants.

Pfaadt did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mariners. He allowed two runs on five hits while striking out 11 over six innings.

Pfaadt did not get off to an ideal start after allowing a leadoff home run to Josh Rojas, though he was able to settle in quickly with the only other extra-base hit being a triple by Leonardo Rivas. Pfaadt ended his day by retiring the final 11 batters he faced. His 11 strikeouts set a new career high, and he relied heavily on his sweeper, registering nine of his 17 whiffs on that pitch. He's now allowed two runs or fewer in three straight starts and will take a 4.63 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 38:6 K:BB into his next start, projected to come against San Diego next weekend.

Gilbert did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. He allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out nine in 6.1 innings.

Gilbert allowed an early solo home run to Christian Walker in the second. He was then able to keep the Diamondbacks off the scoreboard until Eugenio Suarez doubled home another run in the seventh to even things up at 2-2, ultimately knocking Gilbert from the game and spoiling his chance at a win. Still, it was another excellent outing from the 27-year-old. His nine strikeouts were a season-high and he's managed to go at least six innings and all but one start so far. Gilbert now owns a sparkling 2.03 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 44:9 K:BB in 40 innings and lines up to face the Astros on the road next weekend.

Bradley did not allow a hit and walked one while striking out seven across five scoreless innings Sunday in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Durham, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Bradley was on the mound in game action for the first time since March 6, but he showed no signs of rust. He also threw 65 pitches, which keeps him on track to return by mid-May.

Lynn didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three batters.

Lynn walked at least three batters for the third time in his last four starts. However, the only run charged against him came on a solo home run by Francisco Lindor in the sixth. During his last four appearances, Lynn owns a 2.05 ERA with 17 strikeouts and 11 walks over 22.0 innings. He's lined up for a start against the White Sox on Saturday.

Wesneski did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 5-4 loss to the Red Sox, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk while striking out three in four innings.

All five hits Wesneski gave up went for singles. The Red Sox quickly got one in the first inning, though it was unearned after an error extended the frame. Wesneski later surrendered a second run in the third after Rafael Devers led off with a single and eventually found his way home. Wesneski has now gone four innings in two of his three appearances this season, though Sunday was his first as a starter, and his 63 pitches were the most he's thrown since Oct. 3, 2022. With Jordan Wicks (forearm) going on the IL, Wesneski will have an opportunity to stick in the rotation for the foreseeable future, and lines up for a home start against the Brewers his next time out.

Alvarado pitched a perfect ninth to pick up the save in an 8-6 win over the Padres on Sunday. He struck out two.

Alvarado punched out Eguy Rosario and Luis Campusano before sealing the deal on a line out from Jurickson Profar for his first save since April 20. Alvarado has converted all five of his save chances, though he has an inflated ERA after giving up five runs in just two-thirds of an inning in his first appearance of the season. The hard-throwing lefty owns a 5.06 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 12:7 K:BB in 10.2 innings.

Ginkel pitched a perfect ninth in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Mariners to earn his fifth save of the year. He struck out one.

Ginkel made quick work of the Mariners' hitters, needing only nine pitches to get three outs. He began by striking out Jorge Polanco and got the next two batters out on weak contact to shut the door. Ginkel has stepped up well in the closer role with Paul Sewald (oblique) on the mend, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB in 12 innings. Sewald recently suffered a minor setback in his recovery, meaning Ginkel will have the closer job for a little while longer.

Liberatore (0-1) allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits and a walk over three innings, taking the extra-innings loss versus the Mets on Sunday. He did not record a strikeout.

Liberatore was called on for a long-relief assignment that began in the eighth inning and ended with a walk-off home run by Mark Vientos in the 11th. This was Liberatore's longest outing of the season, and it came in a game during which the Cardinals' bullpen had multiple high-leverage relievers unavailable due to recent workloads. The southpaw now has a 3.14 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 7:8 K:BB across 14.1 innings over 10 appearances this season. Liberatore's history as a starter will keep him in a long-relief role unless the Cardinals feel the need to swap him out for a fresher arm heading into Monday's game versus the Tigers.

Romano earned the save Sunday against the Dodgers, striking out two over a perfect ninth inning.

Romano converted on his fourth straight save attempt to start the campaign, pitching his second perfect inning in six appearances. After missing the first few weeks of the season with an elbow injury, Romano has shown no rust, owning a 3.18 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP through 5.2 frames.

Finnegan walked one in a scoreless ninth to pick up the save during Sunday's 12-9 victory over the Marlins. He struck out one.

Finnegan needed 21 pitches to finish the game but kept Miami off the scoreboard to match the league lead with his ninth save in 10 opportunities. He lowered his ERA to 2.19 with a 0.97 WHIP and 11 strikeouts over 12.1 innings.

Yoshida exited Sunday's 6-5 win over the Cubs in the sixth inning due to a left hand injury, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Yoshida jammed his left hand on a groundout in his first at-bat in the bottom of the first inning, ultimately leaving the game after the top of the sixth inning. Considering the outfielder was able remain in the game as long as he did and even record a hit in his second at-bat, it's possible that the injury is minor. The team will determine if he needs X-rays during Monday's off day, and he can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Jimenez went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Rays.

Jimenez was able to single and then come around to score on an RBI single by Robbie Grossman in the bottom of the fourth. He later added two more base knocks in the contest, notching his second straight multi-hit performance and his fourth in the last nine games. Over that stretch, Jimenez has batted .351 with three home runs, eight RBI, seven runs scored, three walks and a stolen base over 37 at-bats.

Langford went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Langford entered Sunday homerless through his first 26 major-league contests, but that came to an end in quite the unique fashion. With one on and two out in the top of the first, the outfielder launched a high flyball to right center field, which ricocheted off the wall and rolled away from right fielder Jake Fraley, allowing Langford to round the bases for an inside-the-park home run. Langford, who picked up his first RBI since April 18, is now batting .248 with 11 RBI, 13 runs and a stolen base over 101 at-bats in 27 games this season.

McCutchen is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

McCutchen started the previous three games and will head to the bench after going 1-for-12 with two walks and five strikeouts. Edward Olivares will bat fifth as the designated hitter Sunday for the Pirates.

Blackmon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Blackmon will sit Sunday as lefty Framber Valdez takes the mound for the Astros. Elias Diaz will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Jacob Stallings starts behind the plate.

Soler went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Pirates.

Soler's 10th-inning blast got the Giants within a run, but the comeback effort fell short. He went 0-for-12 with one walk and six strikeouts over the previous three games. Soler's power is at an acceptable level (five homers, .414 slugging percentage) through 28 games, but he's batting just .222 with a .736 OPS, well under his .250 average and .853 OPS from last season.
