Rescheduling Policy | Making Light Productions

Below is a summary of our policy regarding rescheduling of missed lessons. This policy is in place because we value both your time and our instructors' time and also need to carefully manage our tightly-scheduled classroom space. Please note there are no make-up classes or refunds/credits if you miss a group class session, including camps and workshops.

  • Generally a student can make up as many as two lessons per semester if 24 hours notice is given of a conflict. That means that if you have a scheduling conflict with a school activity or going out of town, you can let your instructor know at least 24 hours in advance and reschedule at a mutually agreed-upon time twice during the semester. If you have a situation that precluded you from giving 24 hours notice, please let us know.
  • If an instructor cancels a lesson, the instructor will reschedule at a mutually agreed-upon time and this does not count towards your two rescheduled lessons per semester.
  • In lieu of a make-up lesson, the instructor may elect to send your student an online lesson via LessonMate. The instructor will discuss this option with you and if used, you will receive instructions via email with your first LessonMate lesson. NOTE: LessonMate is very easy to use and only requires an internet connection - no special software or hardware required!
  • If you do not give 24 hours notice then the lesson will not be rescheduled but we will send an online lesson via LessonMate.

If you have any questions or have a unique situation, please let your instructor know.
