MathsWatch Review

What is MathsWatch?

MathsWatch is an online learning tool to help students practise their maths at home. It contains videos to remind students of the material that has been taught in class and then activities to apply what they have learned. With Mathswatch, teachers can create a more engaging and effective learning experience for their class of students.

MathsWatch is a revision resource that lots of schools provides full access to students for extra practice and consolidation. MathsWatch is a set of Mathematics Resources (videos, exam papers and worksheets). Each video on MathsWatch can be seached using it's number code. Each week, students watch the 1 minute videos for each topic. Once they've watched the videos and understood the topics, they will tick the completed box. If they do not understand the maths topic, students will click on the "Full Version" tab and watch the longer version.

What we liked about MathsWatch

MathsWatch has a special feature that marks students' work automatically with its own special system, making it unique. This helps teachers a lot because it means they don't have to check each student's work by hand. Teachers can still look at how students work out their answers and give them credit for their thinking process. This is something that makes MathsWatch different from other tools.

MathsWatch also lets teachers grade the steps students take to solve problems and their final answers, just like in a real test. Once students turn in their homework, teachers can see their exact answers. If a student gets something wrong, the teacher can see where they made a mistake and help them understand it better.

Plus, teachers can download a special report for each set of homework they assign. This report shows how students did on each question, helping teachers see where students might need more help or practice. MathsWatch makes it easier for teachers to teach and students to learn by providing these helpful tools.

The assigned task could come in two ways, tests, and homework. If you had yet to complete an assignment, you will be subtly notified by the color-coded banner. Users will also be able to see the scores of the assignments they have completed. The "video section" is another place you want to use as much as possible because that is where the magic happens. From there, you can access lessons that will cover your curriculum. Each lesson has two versions, one is a full lesson video while the other is a one minute video for quick revision especially if you are facing an exam or test in a few hours.
