UCAT dates are now confirmed by the UCAT Consortium as of 4th March 2021. It is also confirmed that the UCAT exam will be delivered in Pearson VUE test centres in 2021 via a two-hour computer-based test.
If you have decided you would like to apply to medical school or dental school, you are probably aware that you are likely going to have to sit the UCAT test, which is the most widely used aptitude test by medical and dental schools in the UK. Scoring well at the UCAT is an important component of success when applying to universities and it’s perfectly understandable if you want to focus on starting with practice tests straight away.
However, note that there are a few logistics surrounding the UCAT as well, such as registration and booking a test date that have pretty strict deadlines.
COVID-19 UCAT Booking Update
The UCAT Consortium has confirmed that testing will take place in test centres for 2021. They said they were confident that by the time test booking opens, their testing network will be able to accommodate all candidates – but if the pandemic impacts test centre availability, there is a contingency plan.

How Do I Register For UCAT? Once UCAT registration opens on June 2, 2021, you’ll have to create an online account. When you register you should:
Use your legal name as it shows on your ID
Make sure that name matches your UCAS application
Answer the registration questionnaire (get a preview here)
Wait for your password to come via email – and contact Pearson VUE if it doesn’t arrive within 36 hours
You don’t have to book your test date at the same time as you register – you can do this at a later date. Once you’re registered, you’ll be able to apply for UCAT, and for a bursary. If you don’t register before the deadline, you won’t be able to sit the UCAT.

UCAT 2021 Fees
Depending on the test day you choose, the test fees might vary slightly. The prices for UCAT 2021 are the following:
UCAT tests taken in the UK and EU will be £75
UCAT tests outside of the EU will be £120
These prices may be subject to change as the official UCAT release further guidance of registration and booking before the 1st July.

About the UCAT
UCAT (UK Clinical Aptitude Test) formerly known as UKCAT is an admissions test conducted by UCAT Consortium every year. UCAT is used by medical and dental schools in the UK to test a student's readiness and mental ability to study medicine and dentistry programs leading to clinical careers in healthcare. Currently, 27 out of the 34 medical schools in the UK use the UCAT/ UKCAT score as part of their admissions process.
UCAT is a 120-minute computer-based aptitude test with five timed sections with multiple-choice questions. The UCAT Exam score ranges between 1200 and 3600.
