Tastercard :visit to my local Black sheep…

Paid a visit to my local Black sheep coffee shop , the salt beef bagel , was beautiful the staff were pleasant enough. The whole lay of the coffee shop was , well designed. The hot and cold drinks were reasonable too , especially as the tastecard makes it worth my while as the discount supports , trying out new places of interest .

Long time member ..but for how much longer?

I’ve been a member of Tastecard for years ..& in mho it has not kept up very well ..there’s hardly any new venues being added (in my area anyway) but quite a few have stopped being available (or closed down) I’m considering whether to stop my membership at renewal - if Bella Italia withdraw, I would definitely stop. When there were more choices it was really good way of trying different places to dine.

Tastecard To The Rescue!

Tastecard is a fantastic way of saving for a night in with pizza or many resturants when your out and about. The Card is it great and for the monthly price of £3.99 its a no brainer , i do myself only take the month if its for the pizza hut or dominos etc because of the savings either myself or getting dinner for my family or friends :) , also if they can just do the buy a month card instead of auto renew it would be a lot better but i know some people dont mind it. Also spoke to Kelly M W and the support through emaila has been super & very awesome to speak to :)
Anyways 5STARS & An Awesome Service

My one big gripe with Tastecard is that…

My one big gripe with Tastecard is that if you accidentally renew as you haven’t switched off auto renew there’s no cooling off period and you’re stuck. Options on where to use for food are more limited than they used to be, but if you do find somewhere discounts are ok.

Great savings and easy to use

Really easy app to use. I look for restaurants in the area I want to eat, book a table and make a saving. I figure that if a restaurant or coffee shop offers a discount it’s rude not to make use of it. I’ve saved loads so means my spending money stretches further

It's okay

Saved money in prezzo. Very good. But not enough offers on Fridays and Saturdays to make it worth while. It also often refuses to load when inside coffee shops like Nero and Costa so you can't get discount. It sometimes logs you out even if you go outside.

Misleading

I tried to use my taste card in the little dessert shop in Tamworth and was told they don't accept them anymore. This was also the case when I tried to use it a Marston Farm too. It seems like a good idea, but in reality most places say they don't accept them anymore which is very misleading.

Physical Tastecard - Useless at Prezzo

Made a phone booking with Prezzo, Clifford St., York for last evening (6 May), as required, and told them I would be using my Tastecard. No problems thus far, or with the meal.
However, when came the time to pay, I offered my Tastecard (as I have done many times before at this restaurant) but, after a few minutes, the waitress and then the manager came to tell me that their computer system wasn't capable of accepting the card, and I would have to use the app on my phone. They were immovable that this was the case.
Fortunately, I had my phone with me (I don't always) and was eventually able to find the QR code that would work with their systems, but the whole experience spoiled our evening out.
So, three questions:
1. Why has Prezzo updated their computer system so it won't recognise a physical Tastecard, when the previous system always did?
2. Why do you issue physical cards when at least one of your major restaurant chains won't accept them?
3. Shouldn't you advise prospective customers that if they don't have a smartphone with the Tastecard app installed, they probably won't receive the advantages of membership?

Taste card.. wellbitbused to be good but its not so great anymore, hardly anyone allows 50% off anymore itsbonly 25% off so I will have be cancelling

Great savings!

Managed to save some money on a Friday after school meal out with our son. Was lovely to have a family night out, lovely food & using my Tastecard was easy for 25% of total bill.

Quite useless

I have a taste card but whenever I try to use it no restaurants come up in my area (Epsom). A nice idea but quite useless unless , apparently, you live in a major conurbation
No decent Thai restaurants, no Chinese, no quality Italian (Ask Italian does not qualify and neither does Brewers Fayre).
Where are the quaint French brasseries or quality Italian .

Selection of restaurants is not great…

Selection of restaurants is not great and far fewer that it used to be
Used to be able to use for more people in more restaurants, that is decreasing

Worth every penny

Am impressed with the Tastecard so far. I've already saved quite a bit of hard-earned cash by using the discount on coffee and breakfasts. Based on my average annual spend, this card will pay for itself within about 3 months so it's a no-brainer.

Overall Perfect!

Overall every time I use my Tastecard the process is so easy and straighforward. My wife and I along occasionalloy some friends we enjoy the benefits of the value for money and variation in venues!

TC is fairly useful

TC is useful, used it Burger King which was handy and good. I do miss Pizza Express which was the original reason for getting the card. It would benefit from having broader list of venues that accept it
