The FFplus project has opened its second FFplus Open Call for Business Experiments. This call provides an opportunity for SMEs and startups across Europe —with no prior experience in high-performance computing (HPC) — to explore how these technologies can benefit and advance their own business development, with funding of up to €200,000 per project available. All submissions must be made by 26 August 2025 (17:00 Brussels time). Who can apply? SMEs and startups from Europe or Horizon Europe-eligible countries with no prior HPC experience. Consortia made up of an SME and up to 4 supporting partners, which can be all types of organisations that are eligible to participate within the Digital Europe framework programme. Proposals can request a maximum of €200,000 in total funding,shared across all partners. Opportunities for companies active in generative AI? SMEs and startups active in the field of generative A.I. that need to scale up to large or extreme scale computing resources are invited to apply for an Innovation study. The call for Innovation Studies is expected to open soon, you can register for updates via the link below. Details such as funding, consortium might be different from the business experiments details listed here. Eligible costs: 100% funding of eligible direct costs (personnel, equipment, travel, materials). No indirect or overhead costs are covered. 2025-06-20 HealthAfter years of preparations, the European Partnership on One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (OH AMR) has now started. Find out all about the partnership here. The partnership brings together 53 organisations across 30 countries from EU and beyond, among these is the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO). Together with the European Commission the Partnership will provide joint support to boost One Health AMR Research and Innovation (R&I) in all its dimensions: coordinating joint transnational calls, actions to strengthen the capacity of the AMR research community, provide frameworks for alignment of policy and stakeholder engagement, and tools to valorise the new knowledge for the benefit of citizens and society as a whole.The OH AMR Partnership will hold annual calls for proposals. Note that the countries and types of organisation that will be eligible for funding from the OH AMR Partnership's calls for proposals can change call by call. Please always check the final call documents to see if you will be eligible for funding.The Partnership has recently published some early information about their first (2025) call for proposals. The final call documents for the first call are due to be published in November 2025 during the World AMR Awareness Week.

The European Prize for Women Innovators celebrates the women entrepreneurs behind Europe’s game-changing innovations, so that they may inspire other women and girls realise their full potential as the EU’s future scientists, innovators, and tech leaders. This prize supports a culture within research and innovation organisations and companies allowing women to become the innovators and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. The prize is awarded every year to women from across the EU and countries associated to Horizon Europe, who have transformed their ideas into disruptive innovations to benefit people and the planet. The EITHOS project, funded under Horizon Europe Cluster 3 call “Online identity theft is countered”, aims to develop a “European Identity Theft Observatory System” (EITHOS). The system will provide easy access to information and intelligence about previous and current identity theft related trends to empower EU citizens, Law Enforcements Agencies (LEAs), and policy makers to further contribute to the prevention, detection, and investigation of crimes related to online identity theft. The Cyber and Data Security Lab (CDSL), part of the Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) Research Group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), is one of the 12 partners in the EITHOS consortium, contributing its vast expertise on legal aspects of data protection, cybersecurity and information security law and policy.
