FURNITURE retailer Sofology is set to open a new store in Poole on Saturday August 28 at Wessex Gate Retail Park.
The new branch will be the sofa retailer’s 52nd in the UK and will create 12 new permanent jobs.
Shaun Cook, Director of Retail at Sofology, said the company is delighted to open its first shop in the area – which is part of the company's extension plans to ensure customers across the UK have access to a store.
Mr Cook said: “We are always delighted to bring the brand to a new location and as our 52nd store opening, Poole is particularly exciting.
“We look forward to welcoming local customers as they explore our new store with our knowledgeable Sofologists on hand to help find the perfect sofa for them.”
The new store will be open seven days a week and said to be complete with everything a customer would expect from a sofa store.

As well as showcasing an exclusive collection of upholstery, furniture and accessories.
Sofology will be moving into Unit Four on the Wessex Gate Retail Park, Broadstone Way in Poole, where Harveys and Bensons for Beds was formerly housed, occupying an 18,000 square foot property.
The British retailer has a commitment to carbon efficiency and so the store will be 100% powered by renewable electricity and equipped with the latest digital retail technology to reduce waste.
As part of a partnership with Teens United, a charity supporting young people fighting different types of cancer, Sofology will be raising awareness and fundraising for the organisation with in-store activities.
The chain also has a partnership with the Woodland Trust and the PlanTree initiative, which has seen over 100,000 trees planted in the last year in a bid to restore native woodlands and protect wildlife habitats.
