If you can find another company please do so. This used to be a wonderful company. Now there’s no way to speak to a real person who doesn't transfer to a virtual agent or disconnect you. I was left stranded 4 hours waiting for roadside assistance.

AAA has gone straight to the dogs - terrible customer service, agents without a clue how to answer a question off script, and and non-stop pass the customer off to someone else. Quick to take your credit card details, sloppy and inaccurate policies follow. AAA cannot be trusted.

I would give them a zero if I could. I have been with Automobile Club of Southern California for over 50 years. I rarely use them, but tonight I needed battery service. My mechanic indicated that my battery was not "cranking" properly, and should be replaced. Since it was an AAA battery he suggested that I have it replace by AAA. I tried without success. Even though I had the numbers documented by my mechanic the AAA contractor indicated that the battery though on warranty was not quite bad enough to change. They basically said I had to wait to be stuck on the roadside with a dead battery, or pay them full price for a new battery. To make it worse their price was higher than the dealer. I will be switching to a new roadside service. I suggest everyone avoid AAA.

3 cars + home with AAA over 25 YEARS and I was just cancelled. I'VE NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT OR CLAIM - I am LIVID & this is LUDICROUS. I have always loved AAA until this last week and I request to be escalated to SENIOR MANAGEMENT and reinstated.

My DMV handicap placard application was rejected at the Apple Valley, CA office. The employee rejected it because my doctor used white-out to correct a medical word he had written. The employee was curt and seemed to insinuate fraud. I must start the process all over again, and I know my doctor will be as frustrated as I am.

Roadside assistance left me stranded with a flat tire in the middle of the forest in Mount Shasta all night. It's the morning of the next day and I'm still uncertain about they coming to help me. I need to be in Redding airport in a few hours and I don't have transportation. Do yourself a favor and buy roadside assistance from other companies. I'm done with them after this. I have been a member for 18 years and I barely used them. They were rude on the phone. The only update that I received after hours of waiting says that they cancelled my request for help. I wasn't able to find anymore help after that. Just extremely rude employees on the phone telling me false information.

On two occasions while towing a travel trailer the service received was horrible. We waited for over 6 hours on US 395 north of Reno for assistance with a tire change. Many AAA agents called and replied by sending us a Be there in 60 minutes text. Finally when they showed up they didn't have a jack. On another case just recently we waited for over 5 hrs for a tow, with many text messages and no phone communications. The drivers were very polite and almost embarrassed by the poor response from AAA.

On 9/12/2022, Monday evening, my daughter’s car stalled in parking lot in Long Beach. She called AAA for assistance. Someone came to try to jump start her car but it was determined to be something else and the car needed to be tow instead. A request was then submitted and she was provided with an 8:30pm ETA (approximately an hour from the time of call). Since it was getting dark and it was just my young daughter and her friend, I decided to drive out to be with them. At or around 8:30pm, she received a new ETA time of 10:45pm. I was extremely concern about waiting there for another 2 hours, so we called the call center (trying to speak with a live-person can take as long as 25 minutes). The representative informed us that she cannot control the scheduling, however, would send a message to the towing company for an update.

Of course as a mom I was frustrated. I’ve been a member for over 20 years and the majority of years, my membership lay dormant, meaning, I seldom need services. Getting AAA for my young daughter was my way of keeping her safe and ensuring she gets the assistance she needs when something unexpected happens. Waiting in an empty parking lot a night for 3 hours is not a safe option. I was glad I was there with her and her friend, but it’s not something that I should have needed to do to begin with. At some point the representative must have sense my frustration and become frustrated herself because she proceeded to tell me that if I can find my own tow, I can get a reimbursement from AAA. This was completely unnecessary and absolutely unfair. I told her I was sitting in the middle of an empty parking lot at 9pm, there was no way I would be able to find a tow on my own. I have AAA for this service.

Eventually, I spoke with a supervisor (another 15 minutes hold). When the supervisor came on the phone, she said her name is Terry. She stated that she is asking dispatch to secure a tow for us as the company which was supposed to come out cannot accept the order request, so at that time, the 10:45pm ETA is off the table. She offered no other assistance or help other than apologies. I asked if it’s possible that I get a direct number to call to follow up, instead of having to be on hold for 20 minutes to get through to someone for updates? No, I have to call the call center number. I asked if she would be able to call me to give me an update? No. I felt extremely distressed by the lack of care. I called again (waited for another 20 mins) and spoke with someone at around 10pm and still no update. We asked the parking lot patrol personnel if we could leave the car there possibly overnight and they said yes; we headed home.

In the end, we got a call at 1:30am that they would be able to send a tow out. We decided to wait until later in morning so they can tow the car to our mechanic.

I became an AAA member and especially for my daughter because our safety is important. Being abandoned by your system and no one bothered to offer any kind of additional support is more than disappointing. Maybe the supervisor or someone could have suggested that it could take hours, so maybe go home and wait (since they knew I drove out to be with my child and her friend) instead of sitting around in an empty parking lot for hours. Not offering to call back to follow up and denying a request for a follow up call is really denying the least they can do in this situation.

The very basic of customer care was not provided. I wasted 3 hours last night to receive zero care and zero service; no one offering anything to make things better or make things right. I am extremely disappointment. I learn the hard lesson after 20 + years that AAA is not something you can count on. The lack of capacity and most importantly, lack of care is astounding.

If you want AAA to tow your car to the mechanic next block, they will give you the service. But if you ask AAA to get your car towed from Beverly Hills to Rowland Heights (36 miles) they won't give you the service. My AAA 'Plus' membership included 100 miles towing support. DO NOT fall for their high mileage "PLUS" membership because even after paying their higher yearly dues the service won't be provided to you if you travel a long distance.

On 02.10.2022 I called AAA for tow service. At 5:17 pm I received a text from AAA that tow truck is on its way and ETA is 6pm. At aprrox 6pm I called the Brentwood Club Service ( the tow vendor ) who said due to the long towing distance (36miles) there is no trucks and drivers available for me. It was also told that there is no guarantee when a driver would be available for me.

By this time I have stopped getting updates from AAA. I immediately called AAA and informed them about the tow vendor, to which AAA's response was I would have to wait till the time the tow company can provide any service. I asked AAA to send the job to another vendor but AAA refused to do so. AAA said there is no other tow vendor available for me and my job would be placed in queue. AAA said their dispatch department would call/text me when they find another tow vendor. Make no mistake I was not in any rural isolated area, I was in the city of Beverly Hills.

I saw no hope. I had to drive the car that had brake fail issues and transmission malfunctioning issues 36 miles on the Los Angeles freeway at 10/15 miles an hr. When I woke up next morning I noticed there is no call or texts from AAA. To my absolute surprise: The following morning when I called AAA the supervisor said - based on their internal notes, the tow never arrived because apparently I have advised AAA the night before to cancel my tow. AAA said based on the notes from the previous night the customer advised AAA to cancel the tow.

This is a sickening, corrupt and crooked conduct from AAA. The AAA phone operators and supervisors kept telling me to wait for the tow, and at the same time went ahead and cancelled my tow order from behind the scenes. If I didn't risk driving the car home, I would have waited the whole night in the street for their crooked conduct.

The office manager in upland CA forged my signature on a paper. I made him mad and he threw my renewal forms away when I found out I had no insurance I went to the office and raised hell. I ask them to give both of us a lie detector test they refused. I signed my name on a paper in a strange way and that was the same way he copied it on the forged one. The one he forged wasn't even the one I signed in the first place. I sent a certified letter to the office they refused it. I took them to small claims the judge knew I proved my case but he ruled against me because he didn't want to rule in my favor against a nationwide company and the fact that I am black. Even now I will take a lie detector test to prove I am right and that they did this to me under penalty and perjury of the law of the State of California the statements that I've given in this review are true.
