It is not very likely that Gtsang pa Blo bzang mkhas btsun was the seventh son of Jo bo Dar rgyas as mentioned in the Dga' ba 'i dpal ster (2012: 8), because in all versions of the Rgyal rigs, the seventh child passed away in young age.

As mentioned above, in Dga' ba 'i dpal ster (2012: 7) the monastery, Ar yag gdung is regarded to be built by Gtsang ston Rol pa'i rdo rje.

Thus, as discussed above, most information given in Rgyal sras sprul sku (2009: 96-101) come either from Rgyal rigs, Me rag mdzad rnam or Dga' ba 'i dpal ster.

This differs from the available written sources, like the Dga' ba'i dpal ster, the Me rag mdzad rnam and some others.

However, we know from the Rgyal rigs (1668), Dga' ba'i dpal ster (2012) and Me rag mdzad rnam (2012), that Blo bzang bstan pa'i sgron me was from the Ber mkhar house, while the rest of the lamas were from Dpa' bo gdung pa family, as mentioned in the 1680 and 1692 documents.

Several sources--like the Rgyal rigs, Me rag mdzad rnam and Dga' ba 'i dpal ster--mention his pivotal role in founding numerous monasteries, there is not any indication, where he was scholarly active during this period.

The only minor alteration by dPal sprul here is the omission of the connecting particle yang.

dPal sprul rarely copies passages from the bye brag explanations of the Legs bshad gser phreng.

dPal sprul, however, sums up that whole passage in a single sentence, simply mentioning that Nagarjuna wrote five treatises on logic.

dPal sprul leaves out such passages or simply presents the conclusion without referencing the debate.

As we know from Tsong kha pa's biography, he also studied the Prajnaparamita with Nya dbon Kun dga' dPal. (27) Nya dbon Kun dga' dPal was a student of both Dol po pa and Bu ston.

dPal sprul, however, does not give the slightest hint at his main source anywhere in sPyi don or 'Bru 'grel.
