OREA Exam: passit vs minicram

Hi everyone,

I just wrote and passed the first exam. I only went through the passit booklet a couple of times and that was it. 94%.

For the second exam, I'm just wondering whether I should do the same strategy or do it differently. Everyone I talk to, they say they do passit. And read the OREA book.

What do you guys suggest? How have you done it?

I started with reading the OREA book and then doing Passit questions online. Got 94-100% on the first 4 exams. Got too lazy on the last one so read the Minicram notes and then did Passit questions, still got 100%, so i think either way works.

Haven't looked at passit, but for me, you pay $X to use passit for only a few weeks, whereas with minicram you give the same $ and you can keep the material. I do admit though, the temporary nature of the passit license may be a further incentive to study and pass the exam within a limited (and relatively quick) period of time. What is it, 3 weeks?

And did you only do Passit, or did you study the books as well?

PassIT allows you to use it for 5 weeks. I have passed all my 5 courses and used PassIT for all of them. I read through the course material once and then spend the rest of the time doing PassIT MCQs. One thing I had hoped would be available on PassIT is to be able to save all your incorrect answers. Not just the Top 10.

I haven't used Minicram before.

Based on my personal experience of using both PassIt and minicram for Commercial exam, Minicram questions are more close to what you see in the exam.
Example: passIt does not offer a question where it list multiple options and then you choose the answer based on set of correct options- A) All options are correct. B) Only 1 is correct. c) only 2 and 3 are correct. d) only 2,3 and 4 are correct.

I didn't see any questions like that for the first course. So it changes from hereon, then?

I used passit for all but passit does not offer one for investment analysis. now Minicram is the only option. Any one recently took Investment analysis pls share your experience...

Roxis1984, Did you find the Minicram notes helped for 3A&B? I keep moving my exam because i'm overwhelmed. I have passit but minicram seems to have a more cohesive breakdown of each section.

I have used neither. Just read the book and did the review questions at the end. Although i thought i failed my exams, i luckily ended up passing it by being in the high 80's.

If anyone has practice tests and such for course 5 that'd be great!
