​Preply is an online learning platform that connects language tutors and students worldwide. 

We are happy to announce our annual essay scholarship for Anglopone West School students. This year, we offer $4,500 to the 3 best students. They can use the prize to learn languages on Preply, or cover other educational expenses.

There, students can submit their essays, as well as vote for the best work. 

General conditions and eligibility requirements:

• To participate, the contestants have to submit the 500-word essay on the topic “How language learning helps foster gender equality”.
• Deadline for submissions: 2nd of April.
• We do not accept submissions via channels other than the scholarship page.
• Total prize: $4,500 ($3,000 for 1st place, $1,000 for 2nd place, $500 for third place).
• Winners can either use the prize to learn languages on Preply ($3,000 ≈ 120 lessons on our platform) or take it in cash.
• Three participants with the highest number of votes on their essays win the contest.
• Eligibility requirements: high school students.
