App store won't let me login

I Tried to login into app store but it wouldn't let me, saying that my apple id or my password is wrong but neither of them is wrong, so I don't know what to do. I also reseted all my settings, I reebooted my iPhone but none of them worked. I reseted my password but it still wouldn't work. I tried everything and I'm really frustrated. Please help me!!!

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 9.3.1

Been dealing with this issue for years now. It is maddening. First I go through insane password issues where it will not except anything I give it and then it puts me into a loop to validate a credit card, paypal says it goes successfully and then the app store will just not let me in. I give up everytime after 2 hours of attempting everything I can think of.

This has been a nightmare but I fixed it. I repeated this process 4 or 5 times. 1. I signed out of iCloud banner at the top of settings. Then I do so with iTunes. Then I reset my network settings. Then I rebooted. After that I signed into my network. Then signed into my iCloud ( banner at top of settings screen) then I checked everything on that setting, including the iTunes part. And signed in and out of iTunes/App Store tab below settings list.

I just kept signing out, resetting network, then signed back in all of it. Painstaking? Oh you bet. But it fixed it. Sorry not to hand hold you all the details but I just now fixed it and my patience is thin. This was so hard to research all that intel from so many different people and sources, that I am too brain due to give all the steps detailed. I hope you never have to do this. I wish searching for fixes was better worded for our civilian questions.

Just sign out of it all. Reset network. Then sign in to it all again. Rinse and repeat. It will take your rejected current password eventually.

Hi daria1233,

If you are unable to sign in to the App store from your iPhone, and you believe you have changed your Apple ID password in the process, let's try a few things:

Confirm Apple ID and Password

Go to https://appleid.apple.com and see if you are able to sign into your Apple ID account using your Apple ID (which is an email address) and the password you just created. If you are able to log in there, then we know the issue is not with your Apple ID. If you are not able to sign in with the new password, try signing in with the old one. Determine which password works to get you into the website to manage your Apple ID account.


Sign out of the App Store

On your iPhone, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store and click on your Apple ID.

Sign Out of the App Store.


Check Date & Time Settings

On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Date & Time and confirm or change the Time Zone setting to "Set Automatically"


Reset Network Settings

Do you have your wireless network name and password written down? If so, on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Reset and choose Reset Network Settings


Restart iPhone & Sign Back in to App Store

Restart your iPhone

Sign back into your iTunes Store account in Settings > iTunes & App Store

Tap on the App Store on your iPhone and see if you can connect to the store.


If this does not resolve your issue, Daria, please reply to this thread with any additional information or error messages you encounter.

I've been having the same issue for awhile now and I've tried all the tips you listed. I've reset my password and am able to log in to the account on the mobile apple website but when I then go to log into the App Store using the same log in info it 'cannot verify' my log in. it seems like it's an issue with the App Store, but I don't know what else I could do.

NONE OF THAT WORKS! I've had this issue since my last IOS update. App Store won't let me log in, anywhere or anytime - for anything. It says, "Can't connect to App Store." BUT...the "update" tab at bottom right is a red "3" that need updated...this is completely stupid...no solution or fix has covered it or corrected it. If I press the update tab highlighted in red, the update page flashes really fast, then goes away fast as well - returning to the "can't connect" screen. I was able to hit "update all" by pressing update over and over and hitting update all really fast while doing so, BUT NOW...the three apps that needed updating are locked in a "waiting" status. I need this fixed ASAP! Why can't I delete the App Store icon and then reload it!? This is reduculous as I said!
