Announcements05/02/2024: In preparation for making the 2023-24 June open enrollment aid payments, districts can no longer make certain OPAL data changes themselves. Any changes that need to be made with regards to withdrawals, alternative application enrollments, or Partial SPED entries must be sent via email by the nonresident district to DPI at openenrollment@dpi.wi.gov. DPI will continue making changes for the current school year until May 17, 2024.
11/10/2023: If a continuing open enrolled student moves to a different resident district after the 3rd Friday Count date (9/15/23), the student's resident district will not change until the next school year. The nonresident district can make the change now in OPAL by entering the new resident district in the Resident District Next Year section under the Change Enrollment tab. By completing this data change now, the student's resident district will be automatically updated when the OPAL rollover occurs in August. The district can also update the student's address under the Change Parents/Addr tab.
