Upon installing Anaconda Distribution and registering in Anaconda Cloud, I can't enter the username in Anaconda Distribution. It appears that the character "." is not allowed in Anaconda Distribution, but allowed at anaconda.org when I registered.

Should be a clean install, I have never used Anaconda before to my recollection.

This does not mean you are using the latest version of a given package. The latest anaconda distribution was released 3 months ago.

Now, you are correct, no dots are allowed at the moment, but you can login from the terminal by doing

$ anaconda login

While a new release fixes this issue
