Having My Domain Name reassigned To WordPress

Hello I am trying to get my domain name reassigned to wordpress from simplesite.com I recieved an email from them which I will paste below. It sounds like they are telling me to contact WordPress from my simpsite account requesting wordpress to reassign my domain here. BUT when I try to login to the simpsite acct. it says it does not exist. Please tell me what I need to do if you can, because I want my domain name back.

Happy to help you with this. First step is to figure out where this domain is registered. Do you remember where you registered whatsonyoursportsmind.com? Did you register it at SimpleSite or at another registrar like GoDaddy?

Not sure but I may also have to wait 60 days for the release, but the email I pasted on my forum topic sounds like it’s available now?

You may need to wait 60 days before you can transfer the domain to another registrar. But, in the meantime, you should be able to change the name servers to point to WordPress.com:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/#how-to-change-your-name-servers
Can you give that a try? I looked for a bit, but I couldn’t find instructions on how to do this on their support page unfortunately.
Regarding transfers, it isn’t possible to transfer your domain to WordPress.com (we don’t accept incoming transfers). However, you can transfer it to another registrar (GoDaddy, BlueHost, etc) and then continue mapping it to WordPress.com.

They are saying I will have to wait 60 days. I’ve only recently started the blog & since that’s the case I’m considering changing the domain slightly so that it can become a custom domain now vs waiting 60 days. for me to do that do I go to the Domains page & click on the register a new domain & search for the name I want?

I sent the email they requested w/ the server info they need to switch the name servers & also asked for a confirmation on the 60 days. so soon as I hear from them I’ll let you know. I do appreciate the offer.
