What I like best about Justworks is how straightforward and reliable they are. Their platform is easy to navigate, and their team consistently delivers clear, accurate guidance, which is critical when managing payroll and HR compliance.

What is most helpful?

The most helpful aspect of Justworks is their 24/7 availability and quick response time. No matter when I reach out, I receive timely and knowledgeable support. Everyone I've spoken to has been professional, helpful, and well-informed.

What are the upsides of using Justworks?

The major upsides of using Justworks are peace of mind and time savings. I can trust that our company, SLM Architecture, is staying compliant thanks to their proactive communication and support. Their responsiveness and expertise make handling complex HR and payroll issues far less stressful. Overall, they make a critical part of our business operations smooth and efficient. What do you dislike about Justworks?

While I truly appreciate Justworks and have had a very positive experience overall, one area that could use improvement is the training modules. Since some of the trainings—like harassment prevention—are required annually, it would be helpful if the content was updated or varied year to year to keep it more engaging for returning users.

Justworks takes a huge weight off my shoulders by handling payroll, benefits administration, and compliance all in one place. Before using Justworks, managing these tasks was time-consuming and stressful—especially staying on top of ever-changing HR and labor laws. Now, I have peace of mind knowing that SLM Architecture is compliant, and if I ever have a question, I can reach someone 24/7 who’s knowledgeable and ready to help. What do you like best about Justworks?

Justworks is a great service that makes managing HR processes really simple and convenient. It is easy to understand even for beginners: everything is intuitive, nothing superfluous - just what you need to work. The main advantage of Justworks is that it brings everything together in one place. Payroll, benefits, taxes, employee onboarding, compliance - everything is under control, without having to use several different platforms. I also love that Justworks makes it easy to manage all aspects of work: medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement contributions, and HSA/FSA accounts. Everything is set up so you don't waste extra time and can focus on what's important, the service takes care of everything that would normally take time. Plus, all financial information is presented transparently and you always know where your money goes. Separately, I would like to mention the support service. Guys are always on the phone, quickly answer and help to solve any question, this is especially important when urgent tasks arise. They also have an app for both platforms and it makes it easy to use from your phone. I had to go to the dentist to find a Member ID for my plan, good thing I had the app installed before and it was quick and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Justworks?

Being in an operations role within a small business means wearing many hats. Up until we onboarded with Justworks, payroll, contractor payments, 1099s, and overall payment administration was time intensive. Now, onboarding contractors and employees is simplified and streamlined with an intuitive interface. We've actually onboarded vendors who specifically provided feedback regarding how easy it was to setup their account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Justworks?

Finding areas I dislike is difficult, however the only very minor pain point is the link that folks are provided to onboard in the system. If they don't click to activate within 24 hours, the link expires. I've had to retrigger invited multiple times in the past, which is easy to do. What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Justworks fills the necessary gap in both payroll and contractor arrangements. We don't have a lot of time to spend in administering payments and for what they offer, the price is right on point. It save us from manual payment processing headaches, gives us a central location to run reports and manage pay, and also the benefits offered through the platform are an added bonus. What do you like best about Justworks?

Website loads quickly, has a simple layout, is easy to use, has the features we need, was pretty easy to implement, offers great customer support, and integrates with our online accounting software. I use it regularly, and when I do, it's actually an enjoyable, smooth experience. Compared to more complicated DIY systems, or other types of payroll companies where you have to coordinate everything through their payroll specialist, Justworks is the best option I've used. What do you dislike about Justworks?

There are a few small features that could be added, like the ability to set recurring expense reimbursements, but they are minor features. No dealbreakers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our previous payroll company didn't have salary on autopay, so every pay period, you still had to go through the payroll process to get everyone paid. With another company we worked with, we had to run everything through one person who helped us, but when they were busy or things were urgent, problems happened. Justworks presents an easy-to-use opportunity to do it yourself but have the support of a great, responsive customer service team there for support. Previously, we had to navigate confusing, hard-to-navigate menus or deal with back and forth between our main point of contact. Not aggregating taxable income before applying W4

Not having one paystub with one direct deposit

Not being able to handle a 9-5 workday with paid lunches and process Salaried Non-Exempt employees correctly

Passing all expenses through one P&L account instead of mapping Expense Report categories to P&L accounts

What problems is Justworks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Health Insurance - removing us from the small business market to the large business market saving on HI costs. However, the issues we have in using Justworks has reached a point where we are actively looking for another PEO. They simply don't respond to product issues, most notably not aggregating taxable income before applying the W4. This causes major tax issues for employees when they receive other taxable income like a HI reimbursement or car stipend on top of their bi-weekly salary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Justworks?

I appreciate the ability for my employees to control their time tracking, PTO requests, benefits, etc. It's easy for me to approve hours and PTO. I also like having it all under one site that's easy to access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Justworks?

For weekly pay periods, there is a tiny window of time to approve hours. If there's a holiday somewhere in there, I have to submit approvals before the week is even finished... leaving me to guess the hours for Friday and Saturday. It's very stressful working around holidays. If the weekly payroll could be offset by one week, that would make my job much, much easier. Also, two of us have been told to expect modified W-2s, but it's May, and we still have not received them. This is costing me money with my accountant, which is disappointing. What do you like best about Justworks?

I love that Justworks is an all in one platform that is extremely user friendly and makes the HR process a breeze! Entering time every 2 weeks takes less than 5 minutes and I am able to view all my important documents, holidays, time off requests, team members in one place. What do you dislike about Justworks?

It is hard to find a downside to using Justworks as it is such a helpful platform. I dislike having to sign in using Multi Factor Authentication (MFA), however I know this helps protect my security and I like that I can remember the device for a set period of time to avoid the frequency of having to do MFA Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to enter time easily is one solution that Justworks offers to our organization as well as being able to have an easy way in which to have documents signed by our organization's users is helpful. What do you like best about Justworks?

Justworks has significantly simplified our payroll process. Salaried payroll runs automatically, saving time and reducing manual work. The platform is extremely user-friendly and easy to train others on. Implementation was such a breeze.

What do you dislike about Justworks?

We use the USCIS website for E-Verify, so our I-9s are completed outside of Justworks. I do wish there were an option to disable the I-9 workflow within the platform, though I understand that might not be ideal from a compliance standpoint. As a one-person team, I had little time to spare—and our previous payroll provider only made things worse. I spent more time fixing platform errors than actually completing the work. What do you like best about Justworks?

Justworks has been a lifesaver for our team. It's honestly just way easier than juggling a bunch of different systems - we get our payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, PTO tracking, etc. in one spot. Their support team actually responds when you need help (what a concept!), and we don't have to stress about compliance issues. This reduces manual work and context switching between tools, which saves time and reduces errors. It also ensures we stay compliant with state and federal regulations as a remote team across multiple states.

The built-in support for benefits enrollment and renewals simplifies what used to be a complex and time-consuming process, and the automated payroll and tax filings give us peace of mind. Having a centralized place for team info, org charts, and time off tracking also makes it easier to manage day-to-day operations and support employees with fewer internal tools or spreadsheets.
