Constant Sign in to Network notification; mobile data not working

For 3 days I haven't had mobile data on my phone for whatever reason. Started on 01 Sept and continues now. I'm unavailable to use my data when im not connected to WiFi. I keep getting the notification to sign into network but Everytime I click it, it results in an error. I can't look anything up unless I'm connected to WiFi.

Texts and calls work fine. It's just the mobile data.

Phone: Samsung Note 8

Service: Prepaid

We can definitely get you back online, @Kene331.

Mobile data is more important than even and we want to turn your experience around as soon as possible.

  • Do you have your Mobile Data settings enabled? Swipe down from the Notification bar, then select the Settings icon.
    1. Select Connections, then select Data usage.
    2. Select Mobile data to access Mobile data settings.
  • Is your Galaxy Note8 AT&T branded, or unlocked? Make sure your device is set up to use the correct access point name (APN).
    1. Tap your device’s Settings menu.
    2. Choose either Wireless & Networks, More Networks, or Connections.
    3. Tap Mobile Networks, then Access Point Names.
    4. Find and select the option to add a new APN. This is usually accessed by a plus (+) symbol on the screen or by tapping the menu button.
    5. Program each field using the settings found in the table.
    6. Save your changes to return to the APN's menu and choose the new APN.

Please check your settings then test. If you're still unable to use mobile data please reply with your service ZIP code so we can take a closer look. Thank you!

Hello, this issue started for me today. I followed suggestions in this post and many others that I found with the same issue. Nothing worked.

I was so desperate that I was about to commit myself to an hours long call with support and likely no resolution.

At the last minute an idea popped into my head to try and reseat the SIM. I

powered down the phone, pulled the SIM, blew out the slot and tray with compressed air, reseated and inserted the SIM, powered on and the error is gone and I have access to data again.

AT&T prepaid is a complete joke. I pay 65 dollars a month and spend 15% of my time with the phone trying to fix this issue. AT&T you guys need to fix you crappy network. Or start lowering your prices. I am highly considering replacing you with a more competent service provider.

This has been an ongoing issue for months, usually a reboot will fix it, but tonight nothing will fix it. Reset network, reset sim, rebooted phone, nothing works. I use my phone for work, ffs fix this garbage!
