Hushmail is just what our organization…

Hushmail is just what our organization needed. The support and customer service are outstanding- every question answered in a friendly and helpful way, and follow-up was prompt. They even provided clear, simple instructions that we could give to recipients of our encrypted emails.

Everyone on the Hushmail staff who…

Everyone on the Hushmail staff who received a frantic email from me ALWAYS WROTE BACK, and in a timely way. Their emails were professional and helpful. I never felt stupid with the staff--they are pros and know how to handle hysterical people in our hours of need.

Its all good now.

I'm still having trouble sending emails through hushmail from my other site. Do I need to copy it into thee hushmail account? Yes, they replied and were helpful.

HIPAA compliant

I love that this is a HIPAA compliant system. My clients and I both can feel secure in our sharing of information. I also like that they offer different forms and/or assessments for my clients.

It seems I need another email account…

It seems I need another email account to tell me I have email in my hushmail? Is there any way to get to my hushmail via a shortcut and be notified that I have hushmail withouth another email notification?

Also others are having trouble opening attachments on their end.

Mahsa made all the difference!

I would have been completely lost without Mahsa's help! She was so patient and quick to respond to my numerous questions (which spanned several days). She was kind, creative and so willing to assist. When I was confused about how to do something, she actually made a video specifically for me with my uploaded form which she narrated to walk me through making updates. And she even added in that if she wanted me to fix it from her end, even though I had the walk-through, she would be happy to do so. What an absolute gem! I would highly recommend Hushmail - best customer service around!

The good news is that you can create folders :) To do so, sign in to your account and find the "Manage folders" button at the bottom of the mailbox list (on the left-hand side). Great Customer Service and Product

I love the customer service I receive as well as the benefits that Hushmail has to offer. With the line of work I do, it is so important to have the ability to communicate securely when working with clients and handling their needs. This system gives the ability to provide better care for them while keeping the details of things safe.

The main problem......

In general Hushmail is fine, in that it does what it says on the tin. And BTW - moving the default setting from encrypted to unencrypted a while ago was a major improvement. The thing that let's it down is its primitive handling of spam: Hardly a week goes by without emails from addresses that one has been communicating with for years, and should clearly be whitelisted, suddenly being classified as spam. The problem is compounded because the process for whitelisting, or more correctly re-whitelisting them is so very clunky. I can't believe Hushmail, couldn't very easily resolve the issue, but they seem to have no interest in doing so.

There is no way to retrieve your email…

There is no way to retrieve your email / password, so I set up an appointment to speak with a customer service representative on March 12, 2024. Unfortunately, I did not recognize their number and was not able to pick up the call. At HUSHMAIL's request, I set up another appointment for a call 1 hr and 15 minutes later. My phone never rang. I've asked HUSHMAIL to confirm that my credit card has not been charged; still waiting for a reply.

In November 2023 I originally signed up for Hushmail, but they did not process my payment due to a system error. Although I created an account, there was no active subscription. Ideally, someone from hushmail should have contacted me and corrected the error.

While today's customer service representatives seem nice (via email), it honestly should not be this difficult. People want a streamlined, easy service. My credit card was charged five (5) days ago, and the representative credited it back today, at my request. It's time for me to move on with a different service.

I purchased the release of information…

I purchased the release of information forms and they do not work. I went through customer service and they told me how to fix the problem. It worked one time and then went back to prefilling old information on to the release. This is a HIPPA violation so I cannot use this software. Very disappointing. Other wise things were fine,

Hushmail is the VERY BEST at what they…

Hushmail is the VERY BEST at what they do. I am starting my own practice in psychiatry, and the products that they provide were exactly what I was looking for. From the very first hour that I joined the service, I received the most exceptional customer service I could have expected. George - the onboarding specialist was extremely helpful and supportive - he truly was invested in my success with the service and my private practice's needs. I cannot say enough good things about Hushmail!!!

Hushmail is a secret gem 💎 I use it…

Hushmail is a secret gem 💎 I use it for my direct personal business contact and private email whenever messaging clients. I feel much more confident that the information is secure when I toggle to the encryption function and put in secret question. Google does the same thing and I use them for the catch all so my direct email isn’t flooded with spam. I’ve had a good experience so far and look forward to updating my private email and domain yay! Thanks for all you do we wouldn’t be where we are in cyberspace without you. 🙌🏽💪🏾

Strongly recommended for personal and small business use

I’ve been using Hushmail for many years now for both personal and business email. This email service is not free BUT the old saying “you get what you pay for” holds true. In all these years my email accounts have never been hacked and I’ve yet to see any evidence of malicious government activity either. While I cannot make guarantees about the things I can’t know, I am stating that I have personally not had any known breaches of my accounts in all these years.

The customer service team is very helpful though somewhat difficult to reach via phone, but quite responsive via email. Each time I’ve contacted them they’ve been very nice, so much so that they’ve even increased my storage beyond what was commercially available (I already was paying for the highest tier available).

I strongly recommend this email service to everyone especially to small businesses.
