Unable to sign in to ArcGIS Pro with Google credentials

Description

When signing in to ArcGIS Pro using Google credentials, one of the following error messages is returned:

Error:   
Denied. Unable to sign the user in. Please use create an account option.
Error: 
Denied. Your login session has been reset. Please try again.
Error:
You are trying to sign in from a browser or app that doesn't allow us to keep your account secure.
Error:   
An error has occurred in the script on this page.

Cause

The following are known causes for the returned error messages:

Denied. Unable to sign the user in. Please use create an account option.

The ArcGIS Pro license is not authorized for the Google account.

Denied. Your login session has been reset. Please try again.

The ArcGIS Pro license is not assigned to the Google account.

You are trying to sign in from a browser or app that doesn't allow us to keep your account secure.

This is a known limitation that prevents a Google account with an email address linked to another ArcGIS account from using ArcGIS Pro.

An error has occurred in the script on this page.

The browser has an issue interpreting the script from Google servers, or there are multiple credentials stored on the browser. This is a known limitation with Internet Explorer.

Solution or Workaround

Depending on the cause or error message, choose one of the methods provided below to resolve the issue.

Denied. Unable to sign the user in. Please use create an account option.

Authorize the ArcGIS Pro license for the Google account. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Authorize and start ArcGIS Pro with a Single Use license for more information.

Denied. Your login session has been reset. Please try again.

Assign the ArcGIS Pro license to the Google account. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Assign ArcGIS Pro licenses in ArcGIS Online for more information.

You are trying to sign in from a browser or app that doesn't allow us to keep your account secure.

Create a new Gmail account that is not linked to any other ArcGIS account, and use the new account to sign in to ArcGIS Pro.

An error has occurred in the script on this page.
