Used to be free; now It's just a shell of what it used to be

Used to play this when I was a kid, both me and mom loved the game. I honestly just made this account to give it the worst rating ever because there used to be a time this was free to play and then one day we woke up to all of our pets being paywalled.

Don't Be Fooled By Those Rating This Site Highly

I'm an adult, and I've been on this site since 2009. Check the dates on the reviews. There was a chance for improvement in 2014, but the site is dying now. There is harassment. There is bullying. The site IS pay to play again (though you can pay to join and then be a free player with nothing to do). There is no support to go to if something goes wrong (and the site is literally breaking down). There is NO admin to speak of. There are 2 moderators who are around. One of them does attempt at moderating. The other only reacts when she sees something she doesn't like (usually about her sales thread...as long as you bump her thread, you're golden). There's supposed to be a 3rd mod, but haven't seen her in years. The forums are the worst thing about this place. You will be mocked. You will be bullied. If you are a child, I recommend only playing with your pets and have a parent with you if you go on the forums. Realize there is no leadership on this site to go to when you are bullied/mocked. Realize that people are not receiving their monthly bonus even though the money has been taken from them.

Why So Rude Y'all Parents???

Hello I Am A 48 Year Old Parent I Have Six Children, 10,9,9,8,6,3 And 2 Cats And 4 Kittens And I Think This Website Is Great For My 3,6,8,9, and 9 Year old Because It Helps Them Learn Their Future Responsibilities Such As Washing,Feeding,Giving Water, And Cleaning The Litter Box. Very Great Website Overall But Expensive Pricing.

Lots of Bullying

Really only ok if you're an adult here. Lots of older players think nothing about bullying other players, especially kids. Admin doesn't care either since they let them get away with it. One ambassador lets you get away with pretty much anything so long as you bump up her sales post. Not worth any amount of money.

Seriously, Don't Bother

The game started out with good intentions, I think, but that was almost 10 years ago before the site was sold. After the original owner bought it back again, they just let it go to waste. Any educational value the site had, it disappeared at that point, along with any conscience whatsoever. They have corrupt administrators who let their friends get away with breaking the rules. They have players looking to bankrupt players by asking astronomical prices for "rare" pets, and anything is rare if you say it often enough so people will believe you. They have players with usernames related to sex, and the admin just don't care. They allow copyright images into their virtual store. There hasn't been anything new (no new pets, no new games, etc.) to the site in over 3 years. Unless you pay for a membership, you can do very little on the site. Even with the membership, given the horrible economy encouraged by the admin/moderators, you can't really afford much of anything unless you save for years. Honestly, just let this one go.

Not Worth It

Don't get me wrong, the pets are great (as long as they aren't the older version). If all you're looking for is to play with the pets with your kids, it's great. If you want to make scenes, the decorator doesn't work well. The items are super expensive, and even worse if you're trying to buy them from another player. Greed is the by-word in the forums, just saying. Some kids like the forums for chatting, but be careful. You have to pay to join, but once your CF runs out, you can still do some things. If all you care about is playing with a pet, I'd say get the $4.99 option then cancel. You'll still be able to play with the pets without ClubFoo.

Billing is fraudulent.

Don't waste your time here. If you ever need to cancel and have forgotten the user ID they will continue to bill you monthly no matter how many calls or emails you send. Their own site states you can give them the name on the card and last 4 of debit if you don't know the username. This is untrue since I've left multiple voicemails but they continue to bill. "Dr. Dan" doesn't like to return calls.

Cute Pets Overshadowed by Poor Management(Edit: As of 10-23-17 website seems to be gone for good. I will miss my furry friends.)

I've played on this site since I was in fifth grade. I learned fast that although the pets are great, the administrators and and moderators are nearly useless. Changes are made without notifying the players beforehand. An example is FooGem Fridays. Normally, more pets had to be purchased with real money. But on FooGem Fridays, players could buy more pets with the free in-game currency(FooGems). These were taken away without notifying the players beforehand. A virtual park, called HeartPark, was deleted. Pet Fashion shows(known as FooFashion shows to the players) were taken away. These were things that non-paying members could experience, and as the number of activities they could do dwindled, so did the playerbase. One day, FooPets posted the news that all non-paying members would be kicked off the site on April 26th, 2011. On this day, the forums were a battleground as players spammed it, and admins rushed to delete the posts. Some of these posts were inappropriate. The lucky ones had their accounts banned. As for the rule-following, non-paying members? Their pets starved to death, as the players could no longer log on to feed them. I give this website a rating of 12 and up, as rule-breaking content is not quickly deleted, and young players can easily be led off-site. Not to mention, they can also handle the loss of their virtual pets.

Unless you love being treated like complete crap or a human bank, don't go here

Everyone fights, there's talk of suicide, having kids, and many other adult topics that goes on for hours until the staff breaks it up a day+ later, and unless you're in the "popular" group (where you spend 0 time off the site, donate monthly, and overbreed and overprice pixel pets you treat like crap but are "supposed to take care of") do not go to this site. They price pixels at thousands of real USD when in reality they got it for 5 USD, the staff is an utter joke and plays favoritism mostly directed toward ungodly active players, and overall this is a horrible site.
