A Nintendo Network ID is an ID that grants access to various Nintendo Network services. Once you have a Nintendo Network ID, you can check its details either in User Settings on a linked Wii U console or in the Nintendo Network ID Settings portion of System Settings on a linked system in the Nintendo 3DS family.

I Have Forgotten My Nintendo Network ID

Can't remember what your Nintendo Network ID is? You can check your Nintendo Network ID in the following ways:

  • On a linked Wii U console: Open the user-selection screen—your ID will be displayed there in orange lettering, just below your nickname.
  • On a linked system in the Nintendo 3DS family: Open System Settings, and then Nintendo Network ID Settings. Your ID will be displayed on the sign-in screen, just below your nickname.

You can also check your Nintendo ID by entering the required information after following this link: Retrieving a Nintendo Network ID.
