Please describe your job title and primary duties I was a front-end cashier, so I was basically just responsible for bringing out the customers answering any questions that anybody had about a sell or discount or anything like that, and occasionally I would be responsible for returning stuff that people might return to the proper places and stuff like that what was the work environment like it was very busy um especially on the weekends its very fast-paced always on your feet especially asking a cashier what was your favorite part about working there um I think its just also the fact that its constant you know you always have something to do so the days go by faster and um talk to a lot of people interacting learning new stuff please describe a typical day as an employee um pretty much you come in clock-in you would go um, and we were responsible for our own drawer, so we had to put a certain amount of money in the drawers we relieved whoever there sign in to our register and just begin the workday take breaks and a lunch and that's pretty much the whole day how would you describe the application and interview process it's actually um on a computer its computerized for the application what was when I apply and do a fill that out online then when they call you in you'll get a private interview with the supervisor and then the orientation is group so everyone who's been hired at a certain time will all be in the same group orientation for the story what questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview pretty much personality questions just um if you have an experience if you've ever done anything like that before and just pretty much how you would handle yourself in certain situations that you'll probably run into day to day being a cashier as far as customers who were unhappy with the sale or theft questions and how would you handle that how you work under pressure pretty much what set you apart from other candidates um I had a great deal of availability at the time, so I think that helped I was available pretty much my schedule was clear, and I also had other experience doing that so and I work well with people what other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to get employment I would just say that they're very big on honesty, and they're very big on you know, or I should say honesty in the workplace if you see anything that goes against the rules of the guidelines is better to report it than not to because if they discover it's a problem you know then there's a bigger situation and also its just it's a fast-paced job you're on your feet a lot so just be prepared for that
