'Parent Portal' to allow Richland 2 parents access to student data

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - A news release from the district has some encouraging words for parents in Richland School District Two: you no longer have to wait for interim reports or regular nine-week report cards to monitor grades and attendance records.

The new Parent Portal gives parents access to attendance records, test scores, homework assignments, class projects and other graded activities.

"In effect, parents will have their own exclusive access to Richland Two's data warehouse for information pertinent to their children," said Tom Cranmer, director of information technology, in a written release.

Parents who currently have their email address on file with the district can sign up by clicking on the Parent Portal link on the district's Web site at richland2.org.  If your email address is not currently on file must, you'll have to register with your child's school.
