Penn State To Launch New Sign-In Portal July 7
Penn State will replace its WebAccess portal with a new sign-in method starting July 7.
Account-holders can access Penn State apps like Canvas, LionPATH, and Workday through the new portal provided by Microsoft using a “@psu.edu” identifier.
The change comes with the university’s recent upgrade for single sign-on (SSO) technology, which lets Penn Staters sign in with a single user ID and password. Penn State said the new sign-in portal will improve security, reduce risks, and increase the value of the university’s contract with Microsoft.
The new sign-in screen will be different from WebAccess, but its functionality will be the same. Students and employees will still sign in with their PennState IDs and passwords. Unfortunately, the dreaded two-factor authentication system isn’t going away anytime soon.
