Just say no to animal jam

Horrible game, no vetting of parents email so my child continues to hack, cheat and steal from other players for profit.

Scams children

This app had my son logged in, but not “fully” signed in. It allowed him to make purchases then when his iPad rebooted he lost everything. I contacted animal jam to see if they could help, offered to provide receipts, but without a username(which he had as he was playing) they would not reimburse the money he spent. Total rip off, there was no warning that if you purchased something it had the potential to be lost. They should not allow purchases unless you are fully logged in. There was no way for me to tell that would happen. Furthermore to not try to work with a customer who could provide receipts is horrifying. This app prays on children and parents.

Lazy staff, horrible game.

I have had multiple problems with animal jam through out the years. I have had accounts accidentally deleted by animal jam staff, and now I run into the problem where my account was taken over through the data breach. I submitted a ticket into animal Jam support and got two emails back that were beyond unhelpful, rude, and overall unprofessional. If you do not want your information stolen or your child’s accounts to be constantly hacked into, do yourself a favor and do not sign up for this site. The support staff are lazy and the game is not worth losing your passwords and emails. I have been a paying customer for over a decade and I still am dismissed by animal jam support for a problem that was their own doing. No reimbursements, no restoration of my account, in fact they said they were closing my support ticket because “they cannot help me”. Do NOT waste your money.

Animal Jam help center sucks.

I’m not a parent just letting you guys know out there but the animal jam help team is awful. I lost my account due to the data breach and I don’t remember my email. So I contacted AJHQ and told them the situation and they said “yea we can help you but give us some info first cuz you have membership” and I’m giving them the correct info. I’m double checking each time and they keep saying it’s wrong. I’ve rewritten it every single time and double checked atleast 15 times in total and they still claim it’s wrong. Yet when I went to cancel my membership subscription, it made my main account (the one stolen by security breach) lose its membership. 😐 wtf animal jam do better

Riddled with hackers who steal your items and customer support does nothing to return your items

My kids have played for years. Hackers have entered multiple times recently and stolen my kids' items. A hacker started threatening others in my kids' account and my kid got suspended. Customer service refused to help in either instance. Very frustrating for something that is supposed to be a kids game.

Worst Customer Service

My kid was bullied and threatened. Then hacked and robbed. They stole items he collected for 7 years. AJ didnt care, they had helped him before, so they refused to help again. You can only be a victim once, then it's of no concern. Their customer service is a joke, and they refused to discuss helping more, because of an outdated policy. Kids get hacked, and they dont care. My kids was so upset that it disturbed the peace in our home. Crazy thing, he got hacked with info taken from a breach of AJ, and still they don't care. He told me many players get hacked, and AJ wont help them. What a waste of time, he's heartbroken, and AJ could not care less.

Parents Shouldn't Be Angry At This Game

Honestly, this used too be a HORRIBLE game, but then this year when I let my daughter finally go back into her account, sex and violence went down, and there were rarely scammers in her game. She traded fair, had fun, and I trusted her enough to let her have friends with people in-game. I do not understand why parents are angry, but I would like to say that there were a few problems 1. People started trading her even though she didn't ask for it, there should be a update where you can lock your trading like the Animal Jam mobile (Now available on PC and Mac) 2. At some times her screen freezes and when she clicks on something in a adventure, she couldn't claim the items and everything goes silent, don't know why though. 3. When there are bullies, people tend to believe that they're both the same person or testing if jammers actually care. 4. Not much education, but still very helpful now that there is a My Shop. That's all! Please don't hate on this message as this is just a opinion. :)

AJ has to fix something in the game in order for kids under 18 to be safe and adults aren't being evil to the children of the game.

The game is fun until you get spam reported by rude and disrespectful jammers. Especially when you don't want to trade with them or if you say I don't want to trade that or I don't want to be your friend they get mad and they spam report you and that just makes the game less fun, someone who's trying to make content off the game it's really hard to enjoy it while making a video about it when I'm getting spam reported over and over again by people who are just mad because I won't give him what they want. This is my fifth time being spam reported on the app and game itself and it is starting to look like I might not want to make content with animal jam anymore because of the false accusations and the time and energy I put in my videos. Otherwise it's a good game it's just that they allow spam reports which is on cool and not fair for those who have been wrongly accused. Not only that but they're allowing pedophiles to be on these games or as they want to be called "maps" I've reported eight of them in the last 3 months because they join the game harass the kids and it's not okay. And then other adults join and just bully kids and it's just not fun anymore it's it's real sad because no one's doing anything about it. I mean I would love to see were animal jam makes a version of AJ for 18 and plus young adults and old animal jam counts. But they can't just keep combining the kids with the adults because it's just too much and some of the adults don't want to follow the rules. But other than that it's a very educational platform, honestly I learned a lot from playing animal jam.

They don't care about their players.

This game is absolute trash but has so much potential, there's so much hacking, people had their items and accounts completely messed up, the game is always crashing, it's obvious they don't care enough to put money or time into it. They've been having issues for 3 days straight, that should've been an easy fix and done within a few hours. They completely neglect this game, and don't even care to reply to contact support messages half the time. Some replies were even passive aggressive, they get attitudes as if it's your fault their game isn't working properly. Don't waste your time buying a membership, that money will not go back into making the game better. I am proudly quitting this game.
