[Necro] Immortal Night free MMO?? (1 Viewer)

Anyone playing Immortal Night? Looks interesting, but there isn't a lot of info available before you sign up, which I haven't done. And you have to choose sides when you sign up - vamp or wolf. And it looks like you can't have two accounts, so you can't try both.

Is it good? How does it play - mostly PvE or PvP?

I tend to play magey types in most games. Does this mean I'd be more likely to enjoy a vamp? Or is everyone pretty much a tank?

Any info would be good.

The website seems a massive failure, in that it lacks even basic information about the game, and all links on the bottom of the page seem to be disabled.

Yeah, that was my impression too. My Google search didn't call up much either, although that's where I read that you can only have one account.

Not really the way to sell the game.

I play it and have for some time.

The game is detailed and actually one of the best one's I've seen and played. It's up to over 100K accounts already and it's only a few months old. Seems like 10K active users too.

Basically it's werewolves V's Vampires type thing and there is a lot to do.

Admins are cool from what I've seen, strict but fair, and the player base is really pretty friendly.

It's fun to play in the beginning. There appears to be a lot of options, a lot to read and learn, but after the first rank has been achieved, the game becomes terribly limited. Like most MMO's the game becomes a day to day grind. I have yet to see anything spectacular implimented to take away that aspect, which doesn't make it stand out or something fun to do.

They've been exploited once already, the admins calling it a hack. High level players are waging their own personal war against each other, taking each others actions way too personally. Older players place high level weapons and gear on the auction house at prices that can be afforded by lowbies, creating horrible imbalances in the game. They provide a crapton of ways to make money which has ruined the in-game economy.

I've seen several cases of moderator ignorance. They won't hold back from insulting someone on the forums, then delete the thread moments later. This game screams (to me at least) that it's ran by one adult or at least an older teenager and the staff manned by teenagers under the age of 15. I could be wrong and the game is staffed by moody or angsty young adults, but I doubt it.

At first I gave this game a high 6, but after the first rank and seeing the community's behavior, along with the way things are thrown or forced at you, my opinion dropped to 3 or 4. I wouldn't waste my time playing Immortal Night. I quit about a week ago.

From reading a few of the comments left by people responding to reviews of this MMO and also reading a blog from one of the moderators, I really get the impression that Immortal Night is not for the typical gamer but is a special little universe for all those angsty "I-wannabe-a-vampire in real life" people.
It sounds like one of those 'tavern RP' chatrooms except this time with graphics and if you mess with their fantasy, you'd better have flameproof underwear

i dont playing the game currently as far as i can tell for this text base game its really good i think its gotten a lot of unjust crit. for the people that play it and i found the staff to be helpful it takes a couple of days to get use to the system but all and all i give it and 8 and im pretty picky also you guys have to check out ikaiam.com(us server)
