Using Live Auctioneer website is very user friendly. It enables the bidder to see auctions ahead of real time auctioning to make a bid. The site is very responsive to online bidding and informs you of a winning bid. Communication is great as the auction house keeps the winning bidder informed as to payment, cost and shipping.

LA always keeps me updated on the auctions I care about (things I like and collect) Also it enables me to have a data base for my past favorites and my upcoming interests. These are very important to me and LA does it better.

I checked many german ww2 items, especially helmets and headgears, with three well known european experts and found out that most of them are fakes. Besides the site itself declares openly that those items are never checked by an expert.
Pity because some of them are genuine but if you are not an expert you will undoubtedly fall for a declared genuine item which is not.
That is why I deleted my account.
Sincerely, given the fees that the buyer has to pay I would expect some, actually a lot, more.

Cristy .... We have communicated before. Some how you are not understanding what I say. I NEVER looked at or bought a huge hunk of green rock. It appeared in my shipment from the Vendor (we already discussed). What also arrived had chunks out of set stones and cracked stones. Pot metal or thin brass instead of sterling silver. Two bracelets with broken clasps. Now they are trying to say I bid on a lapis in brass pendant when I didn't. In fact, I did not even "red Heart" it. I also have not paid for it. And in the first buy much was put in box that I had merely identified by using the "red heart" to come back and take a second look. They automatically said I bought it for bottom price.... $20 each. That is not a buy when the red heart is clicked. However if it doesn't sell, many vendors will send an email with an offer to buy at starting price. These people did NOT .... they just charged me. Then shipped. Live Auctioneers got 2 stars only because Pappas Estate Liquidation was superb in every way.

You need to do something to make bud retraction possible
Auctioneer changed a description and I no longer wanted item was unable to retract bid even though auction still had 9 days to go
Tried calling auction house they said I had to call you when I called you I was told have to get ahold of auction house was very frustrating

The auction houses are good. I haven't had any issues and I've always gotten what I've won promptly and in good condition. This is a reliable company and I would definitely buy from one of their auction houses again.

This website is still full of fake antiques,especially Chinese items and when this is reported to them,their customer service people say that they take it very seriously and will investigate the matter. But in fact they do absolutely nothing and the scammers and fraudsters are allowed to list whatever trash they want without any restrictions. I sincerely hope that one day a buyer who has lost money sues Live Auctioneers and holds them responsible for facilitating these scams.
