My caller ID keeps adding a plus symbol or 0 in front of the number

When I switched from Verizon to at&t I kept my phone which is a galaxy note 5 . Now whenever someone calls me it'll either put a plus symbol or zeros in front of the number even though they are on my contact list. It doesn't happen every time but about 80 percent of the time. It acts like I'm receiving international calls. How do I go about correcting this problem?

Hello @BennyBlanco,

I know it can be frustrating dealing with an issue such as this. I would be more than happy to help out!

I did complete some research, and it looks like this is a known issue with Verizon devices being used on AT&T’s network. I do apologize about any inconvenience this has caused.

There are some third-party apps which can be used to correct the problem. You can also try master resetting the device as well. A master reset will switch the phone back to factory settings; removing any personal information including photos, apps, contacts, etc. Be sure to make a backup first, so you can restore it later.

Our Device Support Center has great step-by-step instructions on how to complete a master reset. Just be sure the make and model on the page matches yours. Visit the Tutorials tab > Troubleshooting to master reset or Backup & restore for how to backup.

I hope this helps and you’re able to resolve your issue! Thank you bringing this to our attention via the Community Forum! Have a wonderful day!
