New LDS.org: If these words could dance, I would let them because hooray, the beautiful LDS.org is out of beta and up! I'm sure I'll be talking about it more in the coming weeks as new features are uploaded and unveiled, but for now, click, explore and celebrate!

Ward directory: In conjunction with the above, I found this title amusing and the information important: "Upload Your Own Darn Pictures to the Ward Directory and Finally Learn Other People's Names." To follow his instructions, insert new.lds.org instead of beta.lds.org in step one and get uploading those photos.

Mormon education: Why do "Mormons Buck the Trend" when it comes to the correlation between education and religiosity? So asks this blogger who looks at a recent Princeton study and concludes, "The fact that educated Mormons score relatively high on measures of religiosity suggests that they are finding harmony between what they've learned in their studies of the gospel and in their studies of science, philosophy, arts, and literature. If this harmony did not exist, measures of religiosity would certainly be lower among educated Mormons." Click for more, including graphs.

Concrete poetry: I remember making a few concrete poems in elementary school (you know the kind of poems where "the shape of the poem also conveys meaning.") So I also found it fascinating that The Motley Vision came across this 1835 example of Mormon Concrete Poetry titled "God is Love." Check it out!
