What is a Team?

A Run to Feed the Hungry team is a group of extraordinary people who come together to support Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. There is no minimum number of members required to form a team, and a team can be comprised of participants representing a company, school, family or any other group. 

Team benefits include:

• Upgraded, gender-specific technical shirt constructed from 100% polyester, moisture-wicking fabric

• Option for a complimentary timed bib with access to the timed runner corral

• Team Area with coffee, water and breakfast snacks (and heaters!) on Thanksgiving morning

• Professional team photo on Thanksgiving morning

Forming a Team

To form a new team, select the team member option when registering. When prompted, select the option to create a new team and enter your team name. Congratulations, you are now the Team Captain! Once your team is created, share the team name with your group and have them register as a team member by selecting from the existing list of teams. 

When your team is created, a fundraising page will be created. This is a way for Team Captains to communicate directly with members as well as keep track of your team’s fundraising progress. All donations collected by individual team members will be included in the total team fundraising total.

The deadline to form a team is Friday, November 17.

Joining a Team

To join a team that’s already been created, select the team member registration option. When prompted, select “join an existing team” and select from the list of team names. You will automatically be added to the team fundraising page upon completing your registration.

Promoting Your Team

Packet Pickup

All team members are expected to pick up their own packets or select the packet mailing option at the time of registration. For Captains of teams with 20 or more members that need to make special arrangements, please contact registration@runtofeedthehungry.com.

Team Payment Options

If your organization is interested in paying for the total team registration fee, please contact us at registration@runtofeedthehungry.com prior to creating your team. Otherwise, each team member will be responsible for their own registration fee when they register online.
