Make a shortcut on your desktop with these settings (adjust to your installation):
Target: "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\House Flipper - Workshop Exporter\Assets\Scenes\ExporterScene.unity"
Start in: "D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\House Flipper - Workshop Exporter\Assets\Scenes"
Does it solve the problem if you use this shortcut?
Otherwise try checking your file integrity via Steam.
- I uninstalled everything (including unity HUB, unity)
- deleted any remains of unity from my computer
https://www.moddb.com/forum/thread/completly-uninstalling-unity-a-detailed-nightmare
- reboot
- tried reinstalling again on C - failed
- tried installing using hub on D but failed again (deleted unity once more and deleted all folders)
finally what worked:
- cleaned up PC again of all unity leftovers as I did in the beginning
- made folders on my D drive for unity and steam
- installed ONLY unity on D drive rather than C (one version down from what is recommended for hf workshop Unity 2019.4.8 (only installer for windows, not using HUB)
https://unity3d.com/get-unity/download/archive
- installed workshop on D drive (i read that spaces in project location could be an issue)
- opened workshop with Unity directly without using HUB - it asked to reimport files (i said yes)
- checked that it works (yay)
- quit
- install correct version of unity Unity 2019.4.9 (only installer for windows, not using HUB)
https://unity3d.com/get-unity/download/archive
re-launched worshop and opened unity project - it asked to reimport files again
and that solved the 3 day battle of why worshop won't work.
