Join us for Season 3 of our Women in STEM series! Every month, GSTF hosts a Friday night virtual fireside chat with a woman in a STEM profession. On this night, we will meet and chat with Dr. Rebecca Cunningham. Growing up, Rebecca loved reading and watching lightening bugs (fireflies), and planned to be an English Major. That all changed after she took a required science course that included labwork studying Muscular Dystrophy. After earning her PhD in Neurobiology, Rebecca now runs a research program that studies how hormones influence brain-degenerating diseases. Tune in to learn more about how Rebecca uses toys and games to study brain functions, and how her love of lightening bugs is still with her.
Cost: $3 in council/$5 out of council fee for girls, includes mailed Central Fun Patch or rocker bar.
