It a fraud, avoid at any cost. I was just swindled for 1 book for which I had to pay return shipping and the other is somehow lost in shipping. For 2 books I got nothing, you better sell your college books locally.
I ordered my books on May 24th 2023 and its June 16th, there is no update, there is no seller information, the tracking number doesn't show anything, its been that way from the start. You can't contact them by phone. Classes already started 2 weeks ago and no one from this company contacts you back. They got your money and to bad about your books. Now i'm stuck in a class with no books and no way to contact them and get any reply back of where my books are.

This company is a complete scam. I wish I never would have encountered them. Seek out a more reputable organization for textbooks. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the positive reviews were paid for. Their customer service is awful.

It took them 7 days, the maximum they alotted, to reject my book for sell back for "binding damage; even though the book left my house in prestinie condition. They quoted me $81.30 for buying my electronics engineering textbook, and it was too good to be true. Total Scam I expect. They quote great deals to get you to send a book to them, then once it's rejected you have to pay for shipping, or they will "recycle it" free of charge. Meaning they get your book for free!

I tried to order a number of college textbooks on Sept 5, but two days after confirming my order it was cancelled. I missed the cancelation email but noticed I was never charged about two weeks later. I figured something had gone wrong and re-ordered the books on Sept 20. One day later that order was also cancelled. Confused, but wondering if a problem with a single book would hold up the entire order instead of just being removed from the order, I ordered 4 books on 4 different orders on Sept 24. All 4 orders were cancelled with the same generic, non-informative message on Sept 27.
All of the books I attempted to order are still showing up in search on their site, so it's baffling to me what is going wrong. If they're not actually in stock, or the (multiple, different) vendors that had them on offer weren't making them available, then why have they been on the site for weeks?
They refunded/wiped out all the charges, so I don't think this is an outright scam, but it's still super frustrating.

I had two textbooks in very good condition and tried to sell them back at Valor books. Then after shipping my items they rejected them with ridiculous excuses like "cover damages", etc. which is impossible. They refused to pay me, and I need to pay if I want to get my books back. Also, they said they would "recycle" them, so I think they will get the books from students for free and then sell them.

I used Valorebooks to sell back a couple of textbooks recently. My entire order was rejected. One books for supposedly being an international edition and one for being an instructors edition. I bought both of these at my college bookstore, I don't understand or believe that they are those editions, especially the instructors edition. The isbns I inputed straight from the books that gave me a price quote came out fine. I know for a fact that I didnt have the instructors edition, as I used the book for my class and it absolutely didn't have an answers in it. It's extremely shady to offer small amounts for books, find some false reasons to reject and then force the consumer to pay 5 dollars shipping each book to receive the rejected books. I know now to make the effort to sell back books in person do I cannot get scammed out of books they will most likely take and resell. I'm frustrated and feeling cheated. Do not use Valorebooks, make the effort and sell back books in person, on Barnes and Noble, or Amazon, even if it's less money.
They followed up to my email requesting proof by sending me pictures of the front books that were not mine and the backs of the books that were mine, I knew from the slight damage that mine had that these books did not match. There's the option to return the books, but I'm not giving them more money to send me books that weren't mine. Like I said as well, I purchased them from my college in person, they would not sell me the wrong books or the instructors edition. Valore Books is fully a scam, beware,

I "sold" a textbook back to this company 9/3, and there was a very poor response. First, they "sent the textbook to the publisher to check if it was counterfeit." Even though, there was NO evidence for the book to be counterfeit and NO explanation why they deemed it so. I NEVER received any notification of this happening until I went on their website to see why my payment was taking so long. I reached out to their customer service by email 9/18 and was told it would take 1-3 MONTHS for the publisher to review whether the book was counterfeit. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and set an event in my calendar for 3 months after on 12/21. In that time frame, I NEVER received ANY word from Valore Books. I reached out once again by email, and was told it was deemed to be counterfeit without ANY further explanation or evidence. I truly feel they kept the book and resold it without paying me and blamed the publisher as a scapegoat. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR RESALES.

If I could give zero stars I would! Stay away from this company! It is an absolute scam and fraudulent business. I used the site to sell back textbooks and first they gave me very low offers for extremely expensive textbooks. I understand that most companies won't give you much for buyback textbooks so I was understanding at this point. However once you send them your textbooks, they will come up with ridiculous excuses for why they are not acceptable and refuse to pay what was agreed upon. At that point you are either forces to forfeit your books to them or pay a ridiculous amount to have them shipped back to you. This is clearly a play to steal the expensive textbooks without ever paying back what was agreed upon because most people will just choose to forfeit. If you ever want to see the money you're owed or get your textbooks back to sell somewhere else then DO NOT USE ValoreBooks!

I sent ValoreBooks a $150 textbook that I had to buy for a college class. They said they would take the book and send me a check in the mail for $23. Not a lot, but at least it was something. They told me this on September 1st. I waited for my check to come for over 3 weeks when they said it would take up to 2 weeks. I emailed them and they said they rejected my (perfectly fine - not ripped, no writing in it) textbook on September 2nd. I was never told of their rejection policy and never received an email on September 2nd from them saying that they rejected my book. So, I never got my money and I will never send them a textbook ever again.

I continously requested a tracking number because they lied and said the book had been shipped. Nothing... no tracking number! Twice they've canceled my book orders with no explanation. Both were for big price differentials, which makes me think the prices were in error or a bait & switch. I don't use them anymore, and the same goes for Abe Books. Use eBay or Amazon instead.

I ordered a book for my daughter that she needed by today to take back to college with her. I paid almost $9.00 for expedited shipping for it to get here today. When placing my order it shows the delivery date to be today. Well my daughter has left to go back to college and still no book. When I try and reach out to the company they give me a bs excuse as to how many days it could take to get here. They ignore the whole part that I paid the 9 to receive it today. Why did I pay the extra to be sure it was here today if they don't even get it here. Never again will I use this site, I ordered 2 other books from other websites and didn't even pay extra for shipping and they have already arrived. If you want to be over charged by false arrival dates and a customer service dept that treats you like you are stupid then this is the site for you to use.
