    I took out a loan with this company but the interest rate is criminal. I have already paid back more than what I borrowed. Also, they're trying to say I am late on payments which is not true. I reached out through email about 5 to 6 times to move the payment later that day or the next day since I knew my payroll changed. They are saying that payment was late but I had reached out multiple times to tell them to charge it and it wouldn't have been a problem. I am sick of paying these people when I can't even sign into my account to review the numbers. I want this to just be done with but I'm sure they want another $2000 to close this account.

    I was a victim of Identity Theft in May 2024, and the suspect opened credit with Credit Ninja, for the amount of $660.89. I have filed multiple police reports and filed an *** Identity Theft Affidavit. I've submitted this paperwork to all parties, and most have closed the account and cleared from my credit reports. The one exception has been Credit Ninja. I have gone back and forth with Credit Ninja and they want a more detailed Police report that my police department. My police has denied opening a new report for each creditor in question, they're were more then 10. As you can imagine, they do no have resources to support these types of requests. I have requested Credit Ninja to provide evidence of the fraudulent accounts, i.e. the ** that was provided, other information used to provide security of account and they have not. I am helpless in this situation and Credit Ninja is attacking me/constantly harassing me for fraudulent activity that they have done absolutely zero investigation to disprove.

    This company has really bad practices. They take advantage of the weak. They kept sending me multiple emails offering me a loan. They conditionally approved me. Then, they deny without giving a reason in their email. Its shady and should be illegal.

    I am rejecting this response because: their conditionally approved nonsense is just that, nonsense. They get people's hopes up and then pull the rug out from under them. I read the online reviews, and I am glad I didn't take out a loan with them, as the reviews were very bad. Again, they prey on the weak and disadvantaged. They offer things "conditionally," which seems like a lie and false advertising. I do not accept their response and believe that they should be shut down. Just go read the reviews online. A dangerous company to deal with.

    On April 17, 2025 I applied for a loan through Credit Ninja and was denied. upon logging in to reapply (as I was suggested via email) I found they still were retaining certain data I felt was not necessary. My Social security number, my banking information, and my driver's license number. I understand entities sell data. But you only need skeletal information to do this. Name Date of birth and address. You do not need the above mentioned data. (Bank Social Security, Driver's license#)

    The "company" is still not providing me with a copy of an law that states they have a right to RETAIN. They only "updated" a prior response sent to me to include they had the right to OBTAIN not RETAIN my data. Please provide me a copy of the law that states you have the right to retain my Social Security number banking information and driver's id. You no longer need to retain it. I have business with you. And never will. I've never received proper correspondence from you. Not even here. Letters are not signed by anyone just generically signed by said business.  Seems like a smokescreen. Just delete my data please.

    **** a 500$ loan out with this company and it has a 200% interest rate. They want me to pay over 1000$ for it to be paid in full. Their 200% interest violates ******** usury laws making this loan illegal. It is against the law for them to not follow the usury law. There are already a couple lawsuits against this company for breaking state laws and giving out illegal loans.

    I recently took out a small loan from CreditNinja for $300. Upon funding, I was charged an outrageous Credit Access Business (***) fee of $435.00which is more than the loan itselfplus interest of $12.74.The most deceptive part of this loan is that the *** fee is treated as principal, meaning even if I were to pay off the loan early, the fee remains fully intact. This practice traps borrowers into repaying significantly more than they borrowed and makes early repayment financially pointless.CreditNinja presents itself as a transparent lender, but these terms are clearly designed to exploit financially vulnerable consumers. Their standard response to complaints simply states that customers have the opportunity to review terms before signing, but that does not excuse their predatory lending practices.I am filing this complaint to request the following:1.A review of CreditNinjas lending practices to determine if they comply with fair lending standards.2.A refund or adjustment of the excessive *** fee, as it disproportionately increases the cost of borrowing.3.A formal response from CreditNinja addressing why they structure loans this way and how they justify charging fees higher than the loan amount.This kind of lending practice preys on those in financial need, and I believe the BBB should take action to warn other consumers.Desired Outcome:A fair resolution, such as a fee adjustment or partial refund.A BBB investigation into CreditNinjas lending practices.A public record of this complaint so future borrowers can be informed.Thank you for your time and consideration.

    CreditNinja is a predatory lending company that charges extremely high and very much so illegal interest rates. They try to advertise themselves as an installment loan lender while forcing payments to be made biweekly and their business model should just be called what it is - payday loans. The interest rates for Ohio are strict and it is illegal to charge more than 8% for an installment loan and more than 28% for a payday loan. They know this because it is also clearly stated on their website full of articles that they post to appear as trustworthy and knowledgeable. Regardless, I was charged an almost 200% interest rate. I have paid more than double the amount of the $2100 loan that was offered to me - $4493.58 is what Ive paid to be exact. While paying this absurd amount, I struggled financially and faced numerous burdens that were impossible to overcome. CreditNinja has sold the debt to a collections agency and claims I still owe $1600. That would mean they claim I should have paid them $6093.58 on a $2100 payday loan. This is entirely illegal, predatory and I am fully prepared to take any next steps I need to if this account is not removed from my credit report immediately. As a mother who was already struggling just like many others, I am not really sure how **** ******** (CEO) is able to justify this scandal. There are lawsuits pending against this company and if that doesnt speak volumes for the thousands who were taken advantage of Im not sure what will. I am demanding this be removed from my credit report and a refund be issued to me for the overage I paid in illegal percentage rates - the refund would total $4365.58 if we are being technical and looking at how CreditNinja operates by stating this is an installment loan which is capped at 8% for OHIO.

    I am rejecting this poorly executed response because the bank Credit Ninja is referencing is used as a decoy to scheme and scam customers who are in fact protected by interest rate cap laws within the state they reside. Credit Ninja owns, manages, collects profits, transacts upon and furnishes loans in ********. Other banks located in **** are only named when a customer is a victim of these high interest rates in states that do not allow 198+% interest rates because there are no restrictions in ****. This does not remedy the fact that customers who do not reside in **** are protected by such laws which are being disregarded by Credit Ninjas predatory practices. *** does not manage, collect profits, transact upon, nor own any of Credit Ninjas furnished loans - if they did, Credit Ninja would be operating under the bank FEB. Credit Ninja is responsible for a resolution that is acceptable to my terms due to the unjust lending terms they are illegally operating by.
