On June 6, 2025, I received two phone calls from ************ and then, a voicemail was sent to my sister-in-law. The caller claimed to be from nationwide courier service and later stated they were representing Credit Ninja regarding a debt I do not recognize.I called the number back from the voicemail left on my sister in laws phone , and during the call, the agent confirmed my last name and then proceeded to say my full Social Security number aloud without verifying my identity or confirming that I was the correct person. This is a serious violation of privacy and puts me at risk of identity theft.The caller also stated I would be served legal papers and threatened legal consequences. In addition to contacting me, the caller also contacted other members of my family, including my husbands relatives, which I consider a form of harassment.I do not have any verified or written communication about this debt. I am concerned this may be a scam or an unauthorized collection attempt. I recorded the phone call for my own protection.I am requesting help from the BBB in identifying whether this was a legitimate collection attempt or a scam, and in stopping the calls to me and my family. I would also like assurance that my personal information, including my Social Security number, will not be further shared or used improperly.I did record the phone call as well but am unable to upload.Business Response

I have repeatedly tried to get ahold of this company by phone to stop my auto payment and they state they wont do it via email. However I cant get through on the phone. You dial the number, it rings 1 time then you get the annoying auto message that all circuits are busy and try again later. I have tried this number several times over the last couple of days and its been the exact same result. Its bogus.Business Response

I took out a loan with this company but the interest rate is criminal. I have already paid back more than what I borrowed. Also, they're trying to say I am late on payments which is not true. I reached out through email about 5 to 6 times to move the payment later that day or the next day since I knew my payroll changed. They are saying that payment was late but I had reached out multiple times to tell them to charge it and it wouldn't have been a problem. I am sick of paying these people when I can't even sign into my account to review the numbers. I am rejecting this response because: I didnt realize I responded too late to the complaint I made. I want to open it again because the response what they wrote back was a lie. I love how **** wrote all the dates but forgot about 5 dates of emails I send trying to fix a payment issue. These people do not respond to emails at all and thats how they try to charge you more. I will add more details right now to my complaint. First off I tried to email them 5 times to fix a late payment. It wasnt due to lack of funds it was the new company my job has started using to pay us on Fridays. I explained this in my emails multiple times that they need to charge me on Fridays. This turned into them ignoring my emails and charging me fees that shouldnt have been charged. My bank ended up charging me $68 in fees due to them not responding and trying to pull money out of my account when it wasnt possible. I talked to a representative through the chat. I spoke to ******* who was extremely rude basically calling me a liar saying no you didnt do this or that. They have the records they can see she blatantly said I never emailed them or reached out about these payments. I told her I can send you screenshots of the emails I sent with no response. She ends up sending me pictures of the emails I sent and I was like are you serious you just lied and said you never got them but somehow you have pictures of them. I was furious at this point and she kept insisting I didnt communicate with them yet the pictures of the emails were there so I cursed her out and I was the one who ended up the chat. Erins response was incorrect about that part the representative did not end the chat I did. I decided to let this issue go because I could see it was going no where. Last week I reached out again and spoke to a nice representative who helped me update my profile. I told them that I needed to change my due dates to Fridays due to the new paycheck process. That was super easy no issues there but a day later I received an email that said I was late on a payment of $680 or so dollars. I was shocked to see that because I had just spoken to someone to update my info to Fridays. Once again they took it upon themselves to say Im late but this time all I did was update my information. This is beyond disgusting for a company to do. They know I updated my information and yet now trying to lie and say I owe that money which I dont. This is fraud and I will not allow them to ruin my account or make me pay for something I did not do. I want this issue resolved. I read the response from **** and I find it completely unprofessional to lie in a statement like that.

They must have been sent to the wrong email because I did not read those. Also, the *** fees I dont care about honestly I was just stating what happened. ****, I know my horrible experience with that one representative ******* was not your fault by any means. I just wanted you guys to know that how she spoke to me was not ok and lying was not ok either. Im glad to hear that the late payment email was by mistake I was worried my account was all messed up. I was a victim of Identity Theft in May 2024, and the suspect opened credit with Credit Ninja, for the amount of $660.89. I have filed multiple police reports and filed an *** Identity Theft Affidavit. I've submitted this paperwork to all parties, and most have closed the account and cleared from my credit reports. The one exception has been Credit Ninja. I have gone back and forth with Credit Ninja and they want a more detailed Police report that my police department. My police has denied opening a new report for each creditor in question, they're were more then 10. As you can imagine, they do no have resources to support these types of requests. I have requested Credit Ninja to provide evidence of the fraudulent accounts, i.e. the ** that was provided, other information used to provide security of account and they have not. I am helpless in this situation and Credit Ninja is attacking me/constantly harassing me for fraudulent activity that they have done absolutely zero investigation to disprove.Business Response

I read the online reviews, and I am glad I didn't take out a loan with them, as the reviews were very bad. Again, they prey on the weak and disadvantaged. They offer things "conditionally," which seems like a lie and false advertising. I do not accept their response and believe that they should be shut down. Just go read the reviews online.
