AFL is back.

The season kicks off on Wednesday night with the grand final rematch between Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs on 7Mate from 5.30pm but, more importantly, it is also the start of the State’s biggest footy tipping competition.

And in the battle of WA, West Coast fans are well on top, with more than twice as many of them signing up compared to their Freo rivals.

There is $50,000 cash up for grabs for the overall top tipper thanks to TABtouch, plus $1000 each week for the round’s best tipper thanks to Thirsty Camel.

Last year, Freo fan Sam Cordin won the $50,000 as the overall winner with 143 correct tips, beating 39,031 other tippers to take out the top spot.
