ArjoHuntleigh company history timeline
Huntleigh was founded in 1983, and was listed on the London Stock Exchange two years later.
In 1989, Swedish entrepreneurs Rune Andersson and Carl Bennet acquired Getinge from Electrolux.
In 2000, the acquisition of Maquet enabled the Getinge Group to start provisioning operating theatres.
The acquisition of Jostra (heart-lung machines) and Siemens LSS (ventilators) in 2003 made the offer within Acute Care Therapies even more competitive and patient-centric.
For example, BHM Medical was acquired in 2004 which broadened Arjo’s range of patient lifts.
Since 2008, Getinge has contributed to clinical progress in the field of cardiology.
In 2016 the Getinge Board of Directors announced its intention to distribute the subsidiary Arjo to Getinge's shareholders and to list Arjo on Nasdaq Stockholm.
